General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

No idea about orange woman because I watch nothing she takes part in someone that watches her will have to confirm or deny.. but I know Ina's expressed interest although people will probably hate it and say she plays the game wrong because she just wants to hang out and fish on the server.

Kiara and Kronii both expressed some interest in Rust during the collab the other day. Fauna and more importantly in Kiara's case - Ame egged it on. If Ame is sending out the call, number one Gosling Kiara will answer it.

Does this thread actually have a VShojo fan? Feel like we're equal parts holo - niji - indies - small corpo, but i dont think ive ever seen a vshojo fan in here
I personally consider myself a vshojo fan, I don't have anything against any of the members in particular ( I don't care about Froot love life problems and a 1 off comment about Hololive doesn't really mean anything to me also I always hated nux even before the controversy so if anything that whole thing was a positive in my book), in general I liked all off them even of I don't watch then all the time, I do buy their mech and follow all off them, I just never get involved whenever they are talked about here because I don't like getting involved in tribalffagging and it would be a waste of time, it would be like going into a church and trying to defend Satanism, this thread in general hate Vshojo and I'm not here to try and defend their honor or some shit.

Wait… did Pippa really kill THEGunt? Hold on, now. Making fun of him is one thing, but there's no need to resort to violence…

There seem to be fans of IronMouse or Nyanners or of course Kson but I'm not sure if any of the people who are fans of them would also call themselves "VShojo fans." Given the "loose confederation of unmanaged streamers" feel to the thing, I suppose that's only natural.
I mean if you were a Rushia fan, you are probably a fan of one particular vShojo streamer, but that wouldn't be the same as being a vShojo fan. I know that some vShojo members are said to create drama, but I'm glad that some talent that wouldn't get in at the other agencies can make use of them.

So what's up with people calling Calli Karen anyways? Is this some sort of autistic Calli anti meme?
Personally i will call her Karen if im referring to Karen , the person behind the personas, DDK if referring to demondice activities, and Calli referring to Hololive activities, so If Karen did something, e:g people found out she used to violently assault hobos with a hammer under Overpasses i would call her Karen, but if referring to a new demondice song i'd call her DDK. Just how i use the names.

so it came out that Cali has drawn furry fetish porn for money and it involved a skunk animal.

im not sure how to feel about this... now i know she's a furfag.
I mean not necessarily. Drawing something doesn’t mean your into it and furries will pay hand over fist for even low quality porn so drawing furry porn is a good way to make money if you can bare drawing it.

i duuno. it feels dirty having to downgrade yourself drawing that sort of sick filth. decays the soul.
It at least seems like a rabbit hole she didn't get far down, but on the art note I have a few friends who do comission work as artists and when you got bills to pay you sell your soul to one of 2 devils, the furry commissions, or the gacha fotm commissions (previously FGO, nowadays Genshin) easly the #1 and #2 communities for comissions by an extremely wide margin as far as I understand it.

Except Calli is an entertainer. Her job is to make me happy, and enjoy my experience. That is the product I'm buying. I don''t spend time hating on her, short of her abysmal meme review with Coco, but I really can't think of any memorable moments shes had in her Vtubing career short of the "thank you forever I'm die" which is a Korone clip, not a Calli clip.

Basically, yeah. Though I think her interactions with Kobo & Tempus are pretty gold. That ties back to my original comment though. It's not that she is shit. She can be great. High-energy, engaged, dynamic, even an organizer who pushes other people into doing things. But only when she really wants to be. Otherwise she's just 'there', and the ratio of hype-Karen versus paycheck-Karen is... 1:4 at best? I'd rather she just stopped doing anything but things she really wants than be more active but more boring. It's like having a huge six-layer cake with one layer of icing and five layers of filler, versus a tiny cake that's all icing and sugar. I'd rather have a little good and a lot of silence than a little good and a whole ton of cringe and boredom.

While I catch up, Aruran is playing Slay the Spire.

Sakamata also has it scheduled in 2.5 hours.

Aruran seems to be playing blind, while Sakamata isn't if I'm reading her thumbnail correctly. I've been hoping for more Vtubers to play it. I know Elira has but I can't think of anyone else at the moment.

JP text sizing on the cards is scuffed lol.

Edit: Aruran got up to the Beyond on his first run. Sakamata is playing with a fresh profile but is explaining the mechanics very well. She also has her mask on because the Ironclad has a mask, for people complaining that she doesn't use it.

As someone who likes Calli, I have to agree with you. Collabs that fail to engage her interest become very painfully obvious quickly and she basically just fades into the background.
It takes some wrangling to get her engaged, and while this sounds ridiculous, it's almost as if you simply need to start discussing Adam Sandler or Shrek to get the fucking cogs in her brain turn. Or talk about furry stuff, I guess. Worked for the Maglord today. Just as Adam Sandler did for Vesper.

I'm excitedly waiting to see if anyone changes their pfp. I expect Risu to be the most likely to.
Bae changed it but only for 24 hours

Interesting combination: Okayu and Mumei have a collaboration with Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party with them appearing ingame and their songs being part of the DLC.

Would it literally kill her to pre-plan a collab a bit so they actually have talking points at least somewhat prepared and something to dip into if the energy in the room starts to dwindle?

"detinat, what does that mean" "deBt-nate"

@Slutpuppies your girl is an airhead

I like airheads and airhead accessories! Ditzy people, bimbos, himbos, the works.

Vshojo was actually my first corpo, so I do have a fondness for them, and I like watching streams of theirs sometimes. Hime is actually my favorite besides Ironmouse and Mel. I started vtubing a little bit after their audtions closed, so it woke up that ambition to join a corp in me... which is ironic, considering how theirs went!

I don't feel the need to stick up for them here, because your takes on their corporate missteps are ones I agree with. As far as people who just don't like their kind of humor, that's fine, it's not everyone's cuppa.

Tamaki Inuyama's roommate started out writing NSFW Inazuma Eleven BL doujin.

Artists aren't above doing some degenerate shit to get their lucky break.

They weren't doing that just to break in, I'm sorry to say. Degens recognize their own, and writing NSFW doujins isn't just something you do for profit. You gotta have a love of the game, metaphorically.

have you ever watched chadcast?

I don't think what you've said there so much sound ridiculous I think it's just the subject matter that follows that sounds a bit silly. Take that away and it's just to say "If the game isn't interesting talk about interests instead" which is sound advice and I think relatively commonplace.

It's only so much an issue in one on one collabs, in larger group collabs her taking a back seat if she isn't super into whatever they're playing is relatively fine. Probably better that she let the others (if they are enjoying the game) have that fun rather than her try to steer talk away from the game just because she's not interested personally. That all being said though I don't personally remember the last time she had a collab on the level of like the meme review stream. but in that specific situation

I honestly thought having English speakers on coco's meme review at all was a poor choice. Sitting with someone and looking at some fairly basic and usually not super funny memes as an English native in the collab isn't super engaging in the first place. The appeal of those streams was Coco explaining overseas viewer humor to members that normally didn't understand it. When you have English natives there it's just Coco explaining tame English jokes to English speakers. I'd be bored out of my mind in that situation as well and in a stream like that you can't just change the topic and talk about other shit. Calli's mario party collab with Coco was far better.
