General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Mentioning that Miori and Bae were in myHoloTV. Shouldn't have mentioned past companies / identities.
Man maybe I'm just spoiled with this thread or just enjoy talking about a persons career freely, but I personally find the whole not being able to discuss a person previous work or persona in the Vtuber sphere kind of...'restrictive' in some regards? lack of a better term.

Like I understand not wanting to bring up personal things or IRL stuff of a person in conversations for valid privacy reason or if they had a yabby past. Though, It just feels weird to me being a taboo to even discuss "oh yeah I liked X Vtuber previous work as Y Vtuber and etc etc" or for a Vtuber to talk about it either.

Of course there's some exception to the whole thing , but just feels weird.

I've accepted her being a furry, I can accept this. I've given up on dignity when it comes to my oshi.

Of course there's some exception to the whole thing , but just feels weird.
I agree, but I think it's less about bringing up a problematic past and more about keeping characters separate. I'm guessing if they interviewed someone who was in both a Marvel and DC production they wouldn't necessarily mention the other during the interview.

This was my favorite part of his ‘clarification’: “One clarification that might ruffle feathers: Corpo VTubers are paid to be their 'character', even if they express some things OOC. The only exception to this is Suisei, who kept her identity from indie to Hololive. VShojo + Indies have that control - whether for good or bad.”

It seems like he thinks ‘corpo’ vtubers are literally voice actresses following a script or outline. But not vshojo because they have talent freedom. And did anyone mention this here; he added ‘Nijisanji’ to the quote about Hololive, so now it says both of them. Edit: Ah yes, that was in the post that the post I was replying to replied to. I forgot whether I had read it from here or from twitter.

There are different rules for fans and actual chuba. Fans may frown at other fans connecting fleshtube persona but ultimately that's all there is though some legal jurisdictions definitely protect the right of an author to stay anonymous or pseudonymous very vigorously. Vtubers in the industry - especially under a corpo like Pippa - risk damaging business relationships by not playing by the others' rules though.

I'm noticing something that might be an issue with interview streams, right now she has over 1.1k viewers, more than normal, but very few superchats because they're not really addressed and people are paying attention to the interview. The big question is if they will flood in if she does viewer questions, and if the new viewers can be converted to merch sales which are probably better than superchats. That and recurring viewers.

Might be good for them to have an intermission to take some mid stream questions to encourage more superchats and maybe function as a transition.

Can't wait for Vesper to turn out to be a furry, so I'm 3/3 on my oshis being secret furries.
This is why I only have one, but the Phase Connect girls are growing on me overall. Pippa hits different though, something about her just has the right mix of different elements I like.

And she asks him if he's gay.

I was just listening to my playlist and came upon this clip I made back in April. It's of Ina singing "Wrecking Ball" from an unarchived karaoke. I don't really care for this song, but Ina sounds really good here, especially on the refrain. I don't think I've ever shared it before, so here it is.
She sang Dry Flower by Yuuri on that one and overall she improve a ton.

It just gets better.

Also another part of the article that I don't think anyone here has commented on.

He got the wrong person, he listed and also linked to Shachimu (Mumei) instead of Sachiowo (Ame).
I noticed but im not sure who exactly he was trying to name since he fucked up the name. At first I thought it was Ame but then it linket to Muum and idk.

This interview is a lot more boring and uninteresting than I thought it would be. DN is almost impressively bad at verbalizing his thoughts.
ESL who stumbles over his words. Also he is not really too controversial of a figure so you wont really get the "fun" moments of Pippa calling them out of their shit.

So Nousagi said something a few minutes ago that Pippa said he shouldn't have said, but to be honest I couldn't understand what he said after "they collabed-" anyone know?

Also, i'm seeing people saying he's yabbing stuff?
He meant Miori and Bae knowing themselves.

I agree that If she had a mid-stream answering questions addressed to the guest she would get a ton of money in superchats. She should capitalize on that.

Pippa brings up a seal girl she wants to ryona and DN turns into this guy:

And then they bring up stapling vaginas, and how Pippa wants to get into hurting herself for money. This woman.

Really I'm amazed Pippa isn't working more on some of those things. The things she talks about in terms of where the space is, is very impressive, but she seems to miss some of the more obvious things. Every time I watch her talk about the space, as someone who is an outsider to the space I'm amazed by how much I agree with her takes on how limited vtubing as a genre is currently and how much growth potential there is.

Magni will turn Vesper into a furry after showing him Twokinds and Magni makes an unironic Vespurr fursona that Grandpire likes a little too much.

That is my prediction, remember Vesper himself said Magni can transmutate all of Tempus into furries. The Furlord is frankly unstoppable. All we can do is pray at this point and be ready.

This catboy vtuber is going live on Twitch in about 11 minutes from this post. I guess he's hosting a tournament or something. He's pretty new to streaming it looks like he's got a pretty big audience already. Might be some furry shit, I donno.
This isn't the first time furries have cast their degenerate horny eyes on Tony the Tiger, unless this dude is an official Kellog's sponsored contractor/actor brought in unawares of that little sordid history with the character:
