A single strike bars you from streaming at all. A lot of people say "well the dents would pay him as a way to stick it to the trolls" but that's not the point, at least for me.

I don't think AJ is a pussy but I do think he felt he didn't need to do anything beyond just private the video to fuck with the guy. Again, brick-through-the-window but nobody will ever do that. The true way to fuck with him in his insulated state is to take away his toys. You won't take his money, the dents will support him no matter what. Thing is, AJ had a real way to fuck with his ability to stream and he'd have a much more entertaining meltdown than Wings who is going through that now.

Here's the thing. If Phil got struck, it wouldn't matter how long the strike is there for; a single strike means you can no longer stream or get YT ad revenue. What does this do? Forces him to go back to Twitch and reapply for Partner...which then exposes him as a massive hypocrite and forces him to explain himself beyond "I just want money." Most dents would accept it but he would have to live with the fact that he spent well over a year slandering Twitch and now has to suck their cock if he wants to keep making money off the dents. THIS is what I want. I want to see him scramble to keep himself relevant on any platform that will have him.

If that is how it works (I don't know from experience, and YT isn't a fair place anyway), then so be it, it was a great opportunity. But what happens if the consequences don't stick? You would still have the whining that took place here for several hours, because apparently nothing short of the end of DSP is good enough.

I would love nothing more than for Phil to lose YT completely, forever, but as a platform, it's obviously not great fir that kind of thing. When I thought Phil was about to get smacked, I still wasn't expecting a moment beyond the SuperHound shit. I don't have that kind of faith in YT, and I didn't have any in Twitch either, until they gave me reason to.

Phil is way too stubborn, and utterly dependent on the internet for money, to get shut down over anything less than being catatonic, comatose, or dead. Seriously, think about what happens if he doesn't fight tooth-and-nail to keep some kind of online job, no matter how much he has to negotiate his legacy to do so. He loses literally everything he still has.

This was going to disappoint people no matter what, because you somehow don't know who you are dealing with.

to me neither side is wrong. its perfectly fine not to do anything imo. its the creators call, phil will continue to be a lolcow eitherway. oh though i feel subjectively from a content point striking him wouldve been more funny. as i wouldve hoped to see him lose his platform. which wouldve been rage inducing content. and ofc all he would do is move over to another platform, bitch some more and back to regular phil. so neither side is wrong or right imo, i just feel one wouldve provided more and better unhinged content

Obviously Im referring to the specific subset (which is not small) of detractors that somehow think that watching Phil have everything work out for him is some sort of punishment and his life is falling apart at the seams. I'm not mad at Phil, I only watch because he's a living time capsule of sorts. The "bad" ending of a super successful youtube career. Whatever.

Like I said, and elaborated on, before it's just funny how many people are convinced that DSP wasting all of his money on things that he enjoys is him losing. Whatever the actual quantity of people is is irrelevant to me. I'm not keeping track. It's just a surprisingly large amount of copers
