General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I don't think Tempus and ILUNA have much overlap. I would wager that Tempus are largely overlapping with existing Hololive fans that aren't retards about male V-Tubers, and are taking advantage of them being the 'new thing' and also HoloEN's comparably lesser time streaming.
This is just one specific example, but I have witnessed Ame ending her karaoke stream with 11k viewers and Vesper who was streaming Zomboid at that time only see an increment of about 100 views (avg 5.3k).

Tbf, like Minecraft, it is annoying for someone to set up a trap or for someone trying to raid only for chat to spoil everything
No no, the others are right; When Kaela's chat was telling her what to do after Mumei killed her they were being white knights and anti's trying to ruin the stream and they need to shut up, and when the EN girls chats were telling them what to do when hunting and killing each other they are perfectly cool and fine and the people telling them to shut up are white knights and antis. It's really quite simple if you follow an inconsistent moral framework.

But really though, chat needs to know when to shut up; it is annoying and the reddit post is right. As for last nights streams, I could totally understand Bae's chat backseating and sniping to help her because 1. she's new. 2. She seems like she's making it basically a one-shot stream. If she actually picked the game up and chat continued that through multiple streams though, then it would be too much. I really wish they hadn't told her how to break out of IRyS' horse shed though, because Mumei wanting to build a rat cage and then getting to IRyS' house and finding Bae trapped in a cage would have been gold.

Edit: (I can't quote the post directly for some reason, but it's just two spots up)
Don't think anyone mentioned this but I really love this Thumbnail. Hope one of them picks up FFT (possibly the best FF game).
Vesper said he was considering doing a single-session playthrough of it, a roughly 22 hour stream for him.

Backseating is fucking annoying when the streamer doesn't ask for help. They should put it on Membership-only and take chat off the screen during Rust streams, imo.

Also Ina joining in the craze, wonder if she will fall victim to the gambling wheel, knowing how she is with gacha games. Actually, no, she definitely will.
@Takodachi just can't stop losing.

TL;DR: Fuck Clippers, editing streams and soundbites out of context
The main problem with the chinks IMO, and it was demonstrated well during the taiwan drama, is that they are just too fucking gullible. The chinks just believe whatever they are shown and work themselves up into a frenzy, and yes, the western fans used to be like this too (some still are) like was demonstrated during the Aloe drama with many new western fans making things worse by assuming facts about what was happening. Chinks are just fucking stupid in general and they don't seem to ever bother to check sources or ask before shooting, the only way to win with them is to not play in the first place.

Bae is asian, and she did't fall for the scrapheap gacha (because she was focused on killing IRyS and not being eaten by nature)
From what I saw, Gura seemed to be gambling responsibly by hedging her bets and going for modest growth rather than the Big Score, despite chat complaining that she was Doing It Wrong.

At this point Vox and the rest of Niji talents who engage in China pandering really need to take a course in how to navigate the minefield that is Chinese Netizens.
He made a your mom joke and pissed off some Sonny fans. I wouldn't blow this out of proportion.
People here proclaimed the downfall of Vox after the Reimu incident and he went on to have one of his best ever SC hauls. He'll be fine.

That's pretty much where I'm at.

And even though it's not an exact science, most V-Tuber drama fizzles out after 2-7 days and people forget it even happened. I bet until I mention now that Luca dealt with a similar situation because Chinese fans took issue with him using the word 'liar', most people here would've forgot.

So much happens and so little of it ever really matters. Vox will likely survive this on the basis that he hasn't tripped over a CCP political pitfall and even if they all fucked off he'd still at least have a career.

Interestingly - and this is kind of a side note - but the Chinese fans haven't taken to ILUNA at all so far, and they're enjoying what seems to be an entirely new Western fanbase that doesn't overlap with existing members. Maria and Scarle are making the most money despite three men also being in the Wave (of which all 3 men get better CCV). They're much more like a return to the LazuLight/Obsydia/Ethyria days.

I remember Luca's incident, it was right after a Switch Fit stream. It really seems unfair that people expect EN fans to adjust to other vtuber cultures, yet people that don't understand the language get to run roughshod all over the livers.

Did not know that about ILuna though, good for them! Here's my tax:
