They first did it with the rightwing discord servers. 2016-2018 was a golden age for rightwing servers. With some minimal security you could get a way with fedposting, Hitler posting, bullying tranies etc. Things were more difficult in 2019 but large far-right servers could still function. Now they get banned very, very fast if you don't ban any talk about natsocs, niggers, faggots and general fedposting. And sometimes they even do a server ban. Ban all the accounts in that server. This happend to me twice. Got annoying after a while to regather all the annons that made the servers fun and interesting.

telegram seems to be marginally better about this for the moment, but I suspect they'll cave to pressure to get MOAR PAID USERS

This is why I keep an IRCd running in fucking 2022. Sure, there's like 4 people on it, but nobody aside from me decides whether it exists or not.
