This appears to be the thread where Elizabeth Fong-Jones' stream is being discussed, so I am putting my thoughts here.

In the stream, Fong-Jones is disingenuous, dishonest, and (ironically) morally deficient.
Firstly, he portrays KF as being almost exclusively focused on tranny lolcows. A cursory survey of the forum will show that is untrue.
Secondly, he claims that the raison d'être of KF is to cause trannies to commit suicide. Again, this can be disconfirmed in 15 minutes of browsing. Later in the stream, Fong-Jones concedes that KF doesn't, in actuality, have the power to cause anyone to commit suicide and that, at most, KF is instead just one factor amongst many. The truth is that he can't demonstrate a causal nexus between a lolcow having a thread and their subsequent suicide. Chloe Segal's self-immolation had nothing to do with KF. Chloe was kicked out of the share house he was living in because of his violent behavior. He was living in his van and had burnt all of his bridges, and couldn't get any mental healthcare (presumably because of his consistently combative nature). Julie Terryberry's brief sexual partner--not her boyfriend the cross-dresser--posted on KF that KF was just an annoyance to her and that her suicide was due to the rejection by her parents and the abuse of her degenerate boyfriend, the compulsive gambling, animal abusing, cross-dressing waste of oxygen. Lastly, there is no evidence that Near/Byu is dead.
Thirdly, he repeats many times that Cloudflare provides DDoS protection for KF and only towards the end states that the motivation for trying to get KF dropped by Cloudflare is to increase the costs to Null for content delivery and to weaken the website's SEO. That he mentions DDoS protection often suggests this is what he is most concerned about.
Fourthly, he claims to be concerned with ethics as they relate to information technology--hence his moralistic stream--but expresses no concern with funds being sent to organized crime to perform DDoS attacks against KF.
If we boil down the stream and express the implicit messages, this is what we get from Fong-Jones:
(1) We need to have KF lose their DDoS protection from Cloudflare.
(2) We need to do (1) so that DDoS attacks against KF will be more effective.
(3) KF is not breaking any laws, and CDA Section 230 protects Null.
(4) Due to (3) there is nothing to be gained by civil action, and the state has no case to prosecute against KF.
(5) When we achieve (1), we can send cryptocurrency to Eastern European organized crime and have them use their botnets--a large part of which is in the USA--to perform DDoS attacks on KF.
(6) Doing (5) is a criminal offense, but that doesn't pose a legal or ethical concern for me even though I claim to be concerned with IT ethics and speaking from a morally superior position.
Not everyone may be familiar with how the relevant segment of the black hat economy works, so I will explain what Fong-Jones is implicitly supporting and what he is trying to lay the groundwork for.
Botnets most often perform DDoS attacks. These are PCs that have been infected by malware (typically) by Eastern European organized crime syndicates, most often from Russia. The largest botnets are composed of thousands of compromised PCs--many of which are in the USA--that are centrally controlled by the criminal gangs.
DDoS service providers will target any website they are paid to do so. The DDoS services used on KF have and are most certainly used against commercial websites--largely in the USA--to extort money from them.
Also, the large botnets are not used exclusively to perform DDoS attacks on websites. For a fee, the criminal gangs that own and control the botnets will install other malware on the infected PCs that comprise the botnet. Popular malware that is installed for the benefit of other criminal gangs are:
- Banking Trojans that are used to empty the bank accounts of their (mainly US) victims;
- Spam relays to distribute spam email;
- HTTP proxy servers to facilitate credit card fraud by evading geolocation-related fraud detection by using a proxy that is geographically proximate to the credit card holder's residential address;
- Stealers/keyloggers that steal credentials for services like PayPal, eBay, and Amazon.
When you give your cryptocurrency to a DDoS provider, this is what you are supporting. This is what Fong-Jones is implicitly supporting. DDoS--especially for extortion--is both a criminal offense and is most definitely unethical in the folk-consequentialist ethics Fong-Jones is appealing to.
Fong-Jones will likely respond that he isn't advocating for DDoS attacks on KF and that some people may choose that action even though he doesn't encourage or condone it. The problems with such a reply are (a) that he repeatedly mentions Cloudflare providing DDoS protection for KF, which is inexplicable if he weren't encouraging DDoS attacks and was aiming at CDN and SEO; and (b) this is the principle that he seeks to deny KF. KF doesn't encourage or condone SWATing and cannot prevent individuals from using the information documented on KF to SWAT a lolcow. If Fong-Jones is not responsible for the behavior of third parties, then neither is KF.
Fong-Jones' moral position is far from superior it is thoroughly debased. He knows--based on the history--that there will be DDoS attacks against KF if Cloudflare refuses to renew KF's contract. He knows that money will flow to crime gangs that, in addition to providing DDoS attacks, also rob senior citizens of their life savings, cause online businesses to close, cause credit scores to be harmed, flood email inboxes with phishing emails, cause chargebacks against online businesses that have been victims of
carding, bring LE to the doors of victims that have had their PCs used as proxies to hack and so on. None of this matters. More important are the delicate feelings of hideous trannies, many of which prey on minors, hate women, destroy the athletic careers of young women, have women's shelters closed, destroy online and IRL/AFK parts of lesbian culture, and grift.
