I've been seeing some variation of "Keffals" or "Kiwifarms" trending all day for the past few days. Every time with mid-four-digit to low-five-digit numbers of Tweets. It's a forced trend. It's either Twitter employees putting their thumb on the scale, or classic platform manipulation the Trump reply guys and lefty super PAC types get away with all the time.

Remember when that super cut of Joe Rogan "went viral"? It was mostly a bunch of bot retweets from a few well connected democrat operatives and their org accounts. I see an inept form of the same here, influencers getting their personal armies to amplify the message in waves... but with much smaller numbers.

It takes relatively few tweets to get things trending contrary to popular belief.
It has nothing to do with people manipulating anything it's how it's always worked.
