Anna Paulina Luna, Trump backed candidate for FL-13, won her primary. She was also backed by Boebert, but you might know her from this:

ah, that's a very respectable platform

meanwhile, for local primary day JAIL FAUCI guy and his Gadsden Flag were out on local street corner, caught a blip of it on local traffic cams

Popular Leftist sentiment on Twitter and Reddit is that 10k is not enough.

The thought being that, somehow, students were totally not responsible for loans they agreed to for education that was financed by tax payers (through state and federal loans) and financial institutions (through private loans)

This won't really be a 'win' for them because it would *never have been enough* for their supporters.
The only reason to do 10k is because thats the number that was said on the campaign trail.

The people with highest debt amounts are grad school people. 10k is almost nothing to those debt amounts. It wouldnt pay off a single loan. 10k pays off about 1 and a half of a loan for undergrad.

Maybe it's just because I'm from engineering, but how? Me and everyone I know who did it got PAID to do a master's degree. Normally financed by an outside party in exchange for research. Going rate was pretty much minimum wage plus free tuition and fees.

And there it is, in black and white, clear as crystal: the Brandon admin's claim that "WE HAD NO IDEA THEY WOULD DO THIS" is yet another big fat fucking lie. They knew damn well what Garland and company were doing, and went along with it because Orange Man Bad.
The Admin might not have known anything, actually. The lawyer involved is a token diversity hire, who has only gotten as far as he has because "he's the gay guy," and from all available information he literally rubber stamped Garland's request because, well, token diversity hire and a "real lawyer" asked him to do something.

Which is... worse. It's infinitely worse. The Biden admin might be so fractured and nonfunctional internally that Garland and the White House's Lawyer might have worked together on a politically thermonuclear raid of an active political rival and former president with an affidavit that, given how desperate they are to not show it, we'll just call "wanting." And the warrant is literally a "grab fucking everything he might have done something wrong" fishing warrant that is quite literally illegal from what I understand. The affidavit that allows that would have to be fucking amazing... and it's not. I can guarantee you, it's not.

So the shape of the polling has taken. Biden has bumped up a modest 2 percentage points.... after passing legislation that got a full court press for how awesome it is.

That Mar-a-lago raid really fucked them. In economically hard times passing -anything- with that kind of press should have at least seen a ten point bump, albeit very temporarily, and been a grand event.
So here's the question. If the pork bill with hype train is temporary.... Is the raid's effects longer lasting? Are we going to see his polling go down -8 in the next week or two as the media's trained clapping fades away?

Didn't Biden run on that student debt forgiveness thing in 2020, and when he was put in power he said "lol, I didn't say I would do that lmao"?
Yes. Amusingly, the only campaign promise he's stuck with that I know of is fucking over the energy industry. And that's because his admin is full of progressive ecofascist goons who think they're going to clap and wish REAL HARD and green energy solutions will magically start being competitive by 2030, and thus they just have to force all us non-true believers into using them despite us all being something akin to a cross between a Captain Planet villain and Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel from the Simpsons.

yeah as much as DOCTOR JILL or Sleepy Joe is the mastermind of evil or some shit is a thing, the idea that the lunatics are running the asylum to such a degree is a bit more unsettling

The Chamber of Commerce set loathes the idea of any kind of public investment that doesn’t directly benefit them so if the recreational sites aren’t a public-private partnership where they reap all the profits and the public handles all the costs, they get squashed. Many municipalities have also sold their recreational sites to private entities for pennies on the dollar where they proceed to jack up prices, half ass any kind of maintenance work, and inevitably shut down the pool when people get tired of all the bullshit.

The end result is that there are a lot fewer public pools. That means it’s inevitable that niggers will eventually invade them. In all huwhite areas, going to the public pool for 50 cents a day was a fun activity when I was growing up. Privatization and niggerization, two of the worst things to happen to America, ruined it for society.

One reason public pools in black neighborhoods get shut down because “where did the money go?” is a fact of life in neighborhoods run buy black Democrats. The bucket crabs didn’t exactly promote honest leadership, ya know?

This is not normal. Some careers require a masters for entry level work. If you want to do for instance CSI work straight out of school (common enough for college kids at a mid to low tier school) they are gonna want a masters before they sill interview you. Yes there are exceptions but most "hard science industry jobs" want to see a Masters. Masters is the new Bachelors. And yes there might he gradships and other stuff. A gradship with a stipend doesnt pay rent. It doesnt even pay for food. You have to take some kind of loan or have a scholarship.

Also not sure how you paid for rent and food on minimum wage. Different era i guess.

Lets not get into the concentrated bullshit that is pretty much any phd program or law school.

Yes, for a couple reasons.

First, the effects of the bill will result in greater inflation exacerbating the issues the general populace think the bill will address. Most will assume the bill was utterly ineffective and therefore negate or even reverse any gains. The hope by the Democrats is that will be felt after midterms.

Second, Trump will not let the raid die in the media. He will strategically release, often inconsequential, news on a periodic basis to ensure that the raid remains fresh in the minds of the general populace.

The American right wing is so cucked I became a Democrat again. There's no reason to take Republicans seriously anymore, they're just controlled opposition.
This is why conservatives always lose.

Conservatives "but that's double jeopardy, you can't do that, that's unfair!"

Leftists "lol nerd we're going to do do it anyways."

"Conservatives "Oh well time to do nothing but whine on the internet about how the situation would be if the actors were reversed. Surely we'll win next time."

To honor sensei @X Prime.

Always check post history.

This fine lad/sock/ban evader simped for Democrats the night Liz Cheney lost.
