@Null what is your take on this? Do you ever consider the possibility that (((they))) are waiting until you are in a bad place financially to swoop in and bring you up on charges that you have no way of defending yourself against? You are already a persona non grata in the media and it's only a matter of time before someone from the farms (with no ties anywhere else like 8chan) does something genuinely heinous and you are the face of it all. I wouldn't want to be sitting in front of a jury at that point even if they were accusing me of assassinating JFK.

I'll let Dear Leader or an older Kiwi correct my mistakes, but I'll give you a quick answer based on my (very) limited knowledge.
As the tranny movement grew, Dear Leader knew we'd face lolsuits from people angry about their threads here. This is why he's laid ground rules (specifically, don't anger the US government.) He has consulted with lawyers for the lolsuits filed by Melinda and Greer, and they determined that, while our content is distasteful to the normie, it doesn't violate any laws. We are also protected by Section 230, which, in effect, says Josh cannot be held liable for anything his users do, as long as he takes reasonable measures to prevent it, which he has.
S230 came in handy during Russell's lolsuit, where he said that he was harassed by Farmers (sound familiar?) The judge told him anyone could say they were from here, and that he'd have to prove his harassment was because of users here. This is why we have a very strict rule about not interacting with cows- not even the way ONA does with Patrick. We do not want Josh to have any liability.
(As an aside, we have had people post things that have angered the US government, and Josh handed their user information to the Feds. Fedposting isn't funny, and Josh isn't going to fight the US government.)
I don't know what problems ONA had, but prior to Patrick being introduced to the Farms (namely, between 2016 and 2020), we had, in no particular order:
- Someone from Trans Lifeline showing up to Josh's house with a knife "just to talk"
- Josh, and all family members within three generations of him and his friends, being harassed by Samuel Collingwood Smith, AKA Vordrak
- He was the only man who ever succeeded in bringing the site down, albeit for three weeks, and he did so by going after Jersh's family. IIRC this was what forced Josh to flee the States.
- At some point, he did try uniting every lolcow with a thread for a class action suit. It fell apart because of the cows themselves
- 5 lolsuits (all from one crazy woman)
- Getting dropped by multiple server hosts, forcing Josh to host his own content
- Getting hacked in 2019, and all user information exposed (use VPN and Tor browser, fellas!)
- Josh himself was SWATted several times (legitimate SWATtings too; eat your heart out, Patrick)
- Someone wrote a bomb threat to a children's hospital in his name
- Someone sent a shooting threat to his former high school in his name
- We've had multiple DdOS attacks, forcing Josh to set up his own protection as much as possible
All of this, and the only result is us being minorly inconvenienced. The one person who came close to bringing us down for good was Vordrak, and we survived him. Unless some law is passed making "deadnaming" and "doxxxxxxing" illegal, this site will stay up for as long as we send Josh our shekels- longer still, if he's able to move the site to a country with free speech laws similar to America's.
Finally, even if the site is brought down, Josh will post archives of the site on the internet/darkweb for all to see, and he'll make it clear who was responsible for bringing the site down.
If you're worried about the site staying up/Null going broke, send him some shekels so he can keep fighting the good fight. Otherwise, just laugh at the cows and enjoy your stay here.
