The few times I've had the misfortune of arguing with these people and their allies it was apparent they didn't understand basic concepts when it comes the economy, statistical math (per capita especially), scientific method, etc.

It's all shallow, skin level depth with them - Potemkin intellectualism - give them a hard shove and they fall over like a cardboard façade. They don't read actual books and most of them get meme degrees (but STEM companies are still desperate to hire them right now for some reason)

I know it's kind of a meme at this point to reference them constantly citing Harry Potter / Avengers movies but their understanding of the world was pretty much shit into their brains by Hollywood and social media.
And it sucks because these people have managed to take over very important industries with regard to scientific R&D / engineering.

Society is going to regress, hard. I don't think we'll understand the full extent of the damage this social trend is doing / will do for a few decades. Everything already sucks.
I guess that's why they fight so hard to push the troon stuff though - it's the only thing in their life they've invested any kind of effort into - the only time they've ever exerted themselves for a cause and it's one where dudes cut off their weiners and larp as anime girls uwu

A conservatorship isn't paid for by the public. It's essentially the parents going to their (wo)manchild's court and demanding to keep power over them regardless of age because they're a basketcase.
If the judge decides the person is completely incompetent, the parent keeps custody and has a say on every part of their life. Medical records/procedures included. If the person is insane, the parents can get custody back. If the parents are anti-troon, this can include forcing them to not take hormones anymore and canceling any upcoming surgical procedures.

You found out that arguing with someone who is not rooted in reality or has no conviction will go nowhere because there is no depth to them or any of their "understanding". They have no world view no understanding of how the real world or really anything that can support their argument works. You are arguing with someone on a mental level of a child but the world doesn't tell them to stop acting that way.

Harry potter and Avengers are their escapist fantasy that they want the world to be like because they cant handle the grittiness of life and how rough it can be. When you get shit on and there aint no other way about it other than tough shit that happens deal with, it is just beyond them. While this is a shit circumstance it helps put everything into perspective for you after you process it. They have no concept of self to even understand that they could be the ones at fault. You see this alot with people that have no personality or didn't grow up anywhere ( think military kids or people in gated communities). I dont have any issue with rich people or their kids. But this issue happens when you are out of touch with how the real world works and you justify your view point instead of finding the truth about a matter.

The truth of a matter being an important one. There are very few people who can actually take the facts of a situation and be able to make sense of them in a way that is unbiased ( I know humans are inherently biased but you can go far with some education on being impartial ). You dont go and justify why you think Troons are ok and capitalism is bad despite being in the country that allows it and the system that supports it. This is asking too much out of an overgrown 15 year old who wants to cut his balls off but I digress.

EDIT: An Addendum about the last paragraph. People who have problems with the fundamentals of what they are and what they believe in, are not to be listened to about much of anything you cant have a shaky or non existent foundation and try to preach to others when you are about as solid as wallpaper paste.
