You SEVERELY underestimate this groups ability to absolutely disconnect with reality if it means being "on the right side" or "winning"

Just look at Keffals, someone could say "we should help the homeless" and if Keffals went "I've always wanted to ratio (whoever)" and gets updoots, suddenly they feel like they "won" and are better than whoever said anything regardless of context or truth
