I just kinda forced a smile and tried to focus on the shoes. When I didn't say anything, she kept going, like, "since I'm the only boy in my family," etc. She wasn't content with just bringing me the shit I asked for. I terminated the conversation, walked away, and she followed me to talk about her being a fucking troon. It was so bizarre. My brain could not register her as a man, but she wanted so badly to hear me deny what my own eyes were seeing.

I get the same vibe all these years later with all of these terminally online narcissists, and I haven't even met or spoken to them. If they were happy just quietly existing in the same spaces as and behaving like normal people, I don't think tolerance would be so far out of the question. And I guess after having finally put my thoughts into words, I've figured out the answer to my own question here, but it's not really tolerance that they want, it's not even acceptance; they want to be worshipped

It's called urban Canada. Supposedly as much as 25% of the population is going into debt just to afford food now, and our health care entails abandoning you for days in ER triage and hoping you don't accidentally die before they get around to helping you. This is what they (repeatedly) vote for.
