You would be surprised to find out how many trans representatives are actually severely mentally ill human beings who need significant counselling, the farms catalogues a lot of them.

When I was younger, I'd thought "You know, it's probably coincidence. I don't wanna judge a bunch of people for shit, that's not how I roll" but as I've been getting along in the years, it has become increasingly harder for me to ignore the really significant mental illness problem in that trans community. It's not due to bullying because we see the same suicide rates in countries that are the most progressive and have made sweeping changes to culture via law for decades now. Surgeries and HRT are NOT stemming that flood, it may culturally sound like a good cure to the problem but the longform data suggests that it's just NOT. You cannot argue with the data points on this, we've played out the experiment for a long time now. Longer than people know.

Couldn't say what the solution to this issue is, but mark my words; In 25 years, historians will mark this practice as being both barbaric and misguided. It will be a stain on medical history for the rest of time. Humans stumble when we find solutions for things scientifically and it can get messy. Sometimes it's a crapshoot of theoretical work, but this is comparable to Nazi experimentation.

We may find good scientific data for future use, but jesus christ is this barbaric and unethical. Christ in heaven, I just want people to get better and watching this happen within the cultural zeitgeist genuinely bothers me.

In 50 years "gender affirming care" will be viewed the same as frontal lobotomies.
