Dunno where you live but out in rural areas it’s just not going to happen. The Ford lightning is nothing more then a gimmick. I need a truck that can drive 150 mi round trip with a 20ft trailer full of hay on the back. Until we make batteries that can charge in 10 min and have an energy density that is more then an order of magnitude higher the IC will reign supreme.

The IC is going to be banned. What is going to happen is you will stop making 150 mile round trips, at least not without a 2 hour charging break in the middle.

This will result in transportation becoming many more times expensive, and there will all around be less of everything for everyone.

Everyone I've spoken to IRL regarding cars has expressed interest in biting the bullet and buying a new, or extremely close to new, car. The prospect of "the 'greenies' getting their way" and banning the manufacture of gasoline cars within the next few years is too terrifying to ignore.

Extremely fascinating to learn that Germany is going back to the 1800s with firewood shortages. Meanwhile my entire family's utility bills have skyrocketed and my coworkers have talked about it.

I recycle, try to waste as little as possible, and garden, but "green" is such a fucking scam. California banning non-electric cars would finally kill the state for good, and I'm not sure if that would be a blessing or a curse for the rest of us.
Banning gasoline cars is an economy killer and will get people killed.

This is no longer a green movement, this is an anti-energy movement.

I've mentioned this before and I'll do it again; if shit looks super bad and that the House is lost at least, I would not be shocked if TPTB don't try and cut a deal with Mitch to remove Biden and make Kamala stifle herself.

Maybe even throw in the straight up murder of Hunter Biden (killed by an "overdose") to justify forcing Biden out with a "heart attack/stroke" to explain away Biden's worse than imagine health problems. Hunter is murdered, Biden has a "stroke" that has rendered him bed ridden and explain away why he's no longer all there mentally (brain damage), and 25th Amendmented. Kamala takes over, but won't be allowed to do shit and TPTB basically try and rebuild uniparty relations with the GOP to ensure they can cockblock Trump/suborn DeSantis.
I don't know. Their voters would eat them alive. The leftist voters have been riled up since 2012 to hate the right with a passion. To see their own party hug and make up would make them as bad, regardless of how many woke qualifiers you put in front of em. Even if the fix was in, I doubt they'd just stay quiet.

17 states have planned to follow California's lead.
I only see 4 states. Mass, Oregon, Washington, and New York. Sauce?

He noted that 17 other states have already followed California's lead and adopted its tailpipe emission standards, which are stricter than the federal government's.

Among those, 15 have also backed its zero-emission vehicle requirements, with several states already making steps towards adopting the new regulations.

Its funny, because that same article mentions
Under California's new rules, automakers cannot sell any car, pickup truck, minivan, SUV or other passenger vehicle that emits greenhouse gasses by 2035. Motorists can continue driving gas-fueled vehicles that were bought before the 2035 deadline and will be allowed to purchase used gas-powered vehicles after the rules take effect.
It will just drive the used market for ICE cars up. People will go out of state to get gas cars and then come back to California or whereever.

Crudite is just a fancy French word for veggie appetizers; it's an affectation of East Coast social climbers, who like to use a lot of French words, especially when it comes to food, like serviettes, vinaigrette, Julienne, etc. The only time I ever saw it used without cringe outside a legit French restaurant was in Mexico City, which had been occupied by the French in the 19th century and the locals adopted and adapted French cuisine in that city. It's used mostly to describe a dish that may not be necessarily French, like Julienned vegetables in good and not always expensive, restaurants.

Oz was born in the USA so it's a little cringe but its not a hanging crime.
Julienne is a specific definition for what’s probably the most common dice in western cookery and people use the word as a term of art because French cooking is the most formalized, established tradition in our sphere.

I mostly brought it up because I found it weird that their fucking spam emails contained that word in almost every single one. I’m familiar with crudo as a concept in Spanish, and for some reason I just started laughing my ass off when I realized this freak was talking about one of those shitty vegetable plates people bring to PTA meetings or some shit, which is entirely in character for someone of Oz’s background.

I can't wait to hear all the headlines about all the emergency vehicles slowing to a stop suddenly on the highway because they ran out of battery power.

I'm being facetious, there won't be headlines, only word of mouth. Anybody who reports on it will be called a conspiracy theorist and canceled.

It's not used in Spanish cuisine at all, that's why it stands out in Mexico City, and it's solely due to its history of the invasion of France and installation as Maximilian as Emperor. English has a well understood but unspoken rule about using French words when no English equivalent exists, like sympathique, and German to a smaller extent, with words like schadenfreude. This is not the case in Spanish.

In Spanish you would use corte en juliana.

Did the Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho Car Dealers Association lobby for the law?

We should be seeing the prelude to this soon. California is banning sales of new small gas engine powered equipment(lawn mowers, etc) in 2024.
I expect the used market will be huge... Purchased in Oregon/Nevada/Arizona, 'used' one day and then shipped over the border.

Nope. It's still being emptied. Link.

It's actually going to more then likely get worse. Much worse as OPEC meets in a few days.

Something tells me that oil production is going to get cut back so they can milk the crisis for all it's worth.

The house of Saudi in particular is in desperate need of funds to keep bribing thier populace into not openly revolting. The out break of a new civil war in Iraq sure isn't going to help and my gut tells me Iran isn't going to be too keen on the idea of bailing out Joe Bidens administration in time for the midterms.

Nope OPEC has the West's balls in a vise for the first time in decades and they're gonna squeeze haaaaaard.

Better buckle up buckaroos the pain is only just beginning

I admittedly don't know much about this group, but I will say there is nothing wrong with drilling, uniforms, or flying our flag. We have a second amendment. Drills are important. Uniforms have a practical application in warfare. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, and we should stand up for that and criticize anyone who calls people 'radical' or 'extremist' for exercising their rights.

There's no shame in preparing for a civil war at this point. I would not have said that a few weeks ago. Shit's gone downhill very fast.
Preparing for the next Civil War isn't going to require looking like flag draped masked office drones LARPing as legionaries for slap fights in the streets of bughive cities. It involves finding out where the blue bughives get their power, water and food from, and attacking weak points and disrupting choke points, all the while moving like a fish in the sea of people and wideness of the American countryside.

Motherfuckas be watching waaaaay too many Hollywood movies and thinking that shit's like Sun Tzu.

Didn't washington run "civil war 2" simulations and found out they lost every time in every setting possible? SURELY this administration wouldn't be so retarded as to prepare for one right, right?
