The fact that the entire planet is barreling towards an economic crisis of probably unprecedented scale exactly as most boomer are due to retire keeps me warm at night.

Pension funds will evaporate overnight and the children you thoroughly fucked over and aleniated will be all you can depend on. Just desserts for the eorst generation in history (yes, even including millenials).

I'm not sure about the simulations, but I do remember reading a book on the subject of a hypothetical uprising against the government and it was more or less of the opinion that the citizenry would win simply because they would quickly turn to terrorism and start ripping apart the vital infrastructure the government would need to suppress any such uprising.

Hard to use the highways to move troops when the overpasses have been blown. And it's gonna be really hard to keep politicians alive unless they're stuck into bunkers, which can have their supply line targeted.

Things would get bad for everyone, but the government would be so unbelievably fucked over by a concerted civil war against them it's almost not funny. Almost.

Yeah... as it turns out, it is really hard to infiltrate an organization when the organization requires the most heinous of crimes to actually get into it.

That's the critical point people tend to miss. War is basically economics covered in blood. You can have the best generals, the best strategies, the best tactics, and the best soldiers, if the economics don't favor you, you will likely lose. That's why logistics is such a critical factor.

Billy Yankee absolutely NEEDS infrastructures to be relatively functional to be able to fight. Tough to use drones during blackouts or brownouts. Even harder to obtain air superiority when fuel is scarce and runways are too damaged to use. Good luck using tanks when fuel is super scarce and roads are routinely sabotaged. Rommel could pull it off but not CURRENT_YEAR glorified political commissars that make up top US brass. As it stands, the US infrastructure is held together by duct tape, prayers, and clown jizz. And oftentimes, there's not enough duct tape or clowns to go around.

Johnny Rebel? He doesn't need much. You can make enough thermite in a single afternoon after a trip to your local scrapyard to cripple a non-negligable chunk of the power grid. Sure, Johnny would rather still have power, but the negative impacts on his fighting effectiveness will be extremely minor compared to the impact it'd have on Fedbois.

Add to that the fact that Fed forces, being mainly supported by urban bugmen, will necessarely need to hole up into urban green zones. Guess what, large cities a massive resource drains, requiring them to spend precious manpower and resources to keep them stable whenever Johnny Rebel decides to cripple water, roads (and thus food and fuel), and/or power.

Why do you guys think glowies are always VERY fast to drop the hammer on seperatist militias?
