No shit, she actually went there, and if she truly believes that way, I don't want her to have any influence over an industry that markets products to children.
This is certainly true enough, with Mass Effect 3 didn't they have to release a patch that redid the ending or something? And the fan translation, while not perfect (right now it's riddled with typos) is pretty comprehensive.
If Nintendo learns its lesson, I wonder if they'll just hire the fan translators rather than dealing with Treehouse for the next installment. That's not entirely unheard of--there's a recent visual novel game on Kickstarter, Muv-Luv, where some weebs made an unofficial translation of it. Later on the Japanese creators just emailed them and asked them to work on the official release, which they happily did. Now pretty much the only thing the Japanese creators had to do was give the original fan-translation some light editing and double-checking, improve the VA (the original had terrible, terrible Engrish), and send it out. It certainly seems more economical than this localization chaos.
It should be noted that it's not uncommon for VN publishers to license out fantranslations, either. It's usually how the games get translated- fans announce a TL project, then an english publisher approaches them to translate it for them. It's something I could see niche publishers picking up as a practice more frequently.

Cultural imperialism and moralizations. As much as how things were different back then, so was everything else. Now she could of changed her view at some point but this sort of thing would leave one skeptical.

As much as how it was an academic exercise, it wouldn't come off as one in the eyes of others. And considering what Geth mentions, defending such a thing would only leave her suspect in either being a pedophile or someone that is white knighting pedophilia.
Outside of a period fairly early in its history before moderation was effective, that has been the one thing that instantly gets deleted, and the site always cooperated with legitimate investigations. Sure, they've always been there, but they're pretty much as detested there as anywhere else.

Making a quick google search that GIA is not exactly alive to be real influence beyond SJW politics. Thought yeah, at least this proves he is in bad company (and would explain why SJWs are so admant to be involved in the FE Fates sperging). Still dunno about botching localiztion in purpose given that is the kind of stuff why you lose jobs, specially in a company as Nintendo.
That is a fair assumption, but Nintendo is infamously strict about how they employess behave, Treehouse employees themselves have feel the wrath of the company even if they are defending it. Then again, who knows how Nintendo corporate culture is doing after Iwata died.

There's also page after page after page of anti-GG shit the first month. Like seriously, almost forty frontpaged tweets of nothing but Gamergate.
But it wasn't just shameless promotion of narrative, oh no! The GIA also openly schilled for works of the usual suspects and generally acted like a vector for those in said clique to get more press time and the like. If you were in the clique, these morons would schill for you. Even Sunset. Suffice to say, it has ties to a number of known assholes, like this contemptable motherfucker, who I'm likely to cover at a later time, when I'm not dick-punchingly tired, but was waist-deep in causing the initial concerns about FE:Fates' atrocious translation.

This lead to a fair bit of bafflement when the movement failed to loose steam in the face of the season’s much anticipated game releases. If they were gamers as so many were claiming, it’s reasonable to assume they’d be distracted away by those games they love so much. Absolutely no one in GG today really cares in the slightest about games though, and even back in October there were just a few dupes who’d bought into one of September’s brief rebranding efforts.
Pretty much every other thing she's written is bug-fuck insane, such as how insanity effects in PNP RPGs offend her (because muh neuroatypicality), argues that fighting games are porn, and more.
So TL;DR, we have a group that:
* Mostly exists to promote Anti-GGer projects (Sunset, various kickstarters)
* Openly propagandizes against Gamergate using people who are certifiable nut-cases
* Similarly, part of the ongoing attempts to "unperson" #Notyourshield (because them uppity women and minorities have to know their place)
Ultimately, the entire thing was a shit-show, one of a thousand areas Anti-GG agenda-pushed with the subtlety of Tyce smoking feces. The GIA closed its doors for good on June 22nd, 2015.

That's true. Less sympathic about him, and he getting involved in this shitstorm seems karmatic. I still don't know what he will win in butching the localization to appease people like Andrea Ritsu or if paying Andre Ritsu to generate noise about 'problematic stuff in FE' will benefit him professional wise as we have little idea in how are the internal politics in that company given how secretive they are. At least, you prove it he is with the crazys.
It would be really funny (and unsurprising at this point) if his last posts in GIA site are around the time he got the job in Nintendo/Treehouse.
