It really just illustrates his arrogance and sense of self-importance so beautifully. Very ironic in a way since he and Vladimir Putin share a similar situation, they are both trapped in a fight they cannot win and are desperate for some kind of victory to save face. Luke's problem is that he can only keep this up for so long before it starts to hurt his repuation more than it already has, wheras here at the Farms we live for this.
