Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Man I miss the 2014-2018 years of horror YouTube, back when I first got into people like Scaretheater, Nexpo, Reignbot, Someordinarygamers, Rob Dyke/Gavagan, etc. Back before the oversaturation of ARGs and Analog horror, which in turn led to an infestation of annoying zoomers and troons, the rise of edgelord vigilante LARPers like Mamamax and Plagued Moth, and the grifting that inevitably takes over any sphere on the internet. I wouldn't say that horror YouTube itself is bad or dead, just that I've grown distant from many of the channels I initially got into when first discovering this sphere. Such as Mutahar dropping most of the horror stuff and becoming a boring commentary channel, Scaretheater's defense of Desmondisamazing, or Nexpo and Reignbot covering more and more ARGs. Nowadays Wendigoon, Shrouded Hand, Bob Gymlan, and Missing Enigma are the channels I probably watch most.

It’s probably been mentioned before but I can’t stand true crime channels that act overly horrified over what they’re covering, self censor too much and do their makeup while they talk. This isn’t some fun little campfire story these are real cases that happened to people. It’s why I like Dreading since he knows he’ll be demonetized and doesn’t ruin the integrity of his videos with self censorship.
Another channel like his that treats cases respectfully and doesn’t censor details is the Misery Machine. They usually cover cases of child abuse and murder.
I've already mentioned some of my gripes with dreading so I won't parrot myself, but recently I just stopped watching him altogether, IDK where he fucking adopted this quirk from but lately he does this a lot where he reads out a part of the story that will very clearly be perceived as pathetic/silly/awkward/whatever (to anyone who isn't severely autistic) then proceeds to fake-laugh, as if he's pretending it's the first time he's seen this detail and this is a genuine reaction to the supposed absurdity. This guy already has no charisma and stuff like that only makes him more irritating.
Just like how it's annoying when youtubers overreact to the worst parts, it's also annoying when they overreact the other way around.

New Backrooms 'episode' dropped.
I actually like his series but this has to be the worst episode only because of the acting. I really don't understand how he went from seemingly writing in very natural reactions and characters that act believably human to this cheesy stereotypical horror movie protagonist. Not one normal person in real life would constantly mutter to themselves while simultaneously trying to stay quiet so the monster won't find them, how does that even make sense? The first backrooms video did it perfectly, we could sense the fear in the cameraman without him conveniently thinking out loud what he feels or thinks, hell we could even understand his thought process and decision making just from the movement of the camera and basic inferring.

I think a major issue with this is that you can only get so much mileage out of the Backrooms idea anyway. Three or four standalone videos would have been fine but once you turn it into a series, a lot of issues are going to start popping up once you realize the steam is slowly starting run out.

Yeah, I can give Kane his much deserved props for his obvious talent but from the sound of it he doesn't plan on ending this story any time soon and it makes me worried because the longer he drags this shit on the worse it will get, as well as the higher likelihood of the ending being underwhelming and bad

Creepy Reading videos can be boring. But Ghost's meltdowns are always guaranteed kino.
Cuz the one thing I know that goes does best is that he's on filtered uncensored and doesn't give a fuck about who he offends. He'll say doesn't condone it but in reality he actually does. All the scrub YouTubers wish they had the amount of testosterone energy and of course money like Ghost does. I would rather donate a bunch of money to watch him about over random videos than to give some cuck boy Creepy who refuses to get a real job in the world and still wants to suck the teat of Mommy Susan for ad revenue. And if Ghost does ever another show ever. I want to see him tear open this little faggot a new one from here to Burma.

Not to mention "TCR" used a part of the "Doug" video I donated to Ghost for his 300th show that night. Meme Magic!!

I don't know the history/lore of the Backrooms creepypasta (or whatever you call these sorts of quasi-SCP tier concepts) at all. Is it inspired by that Michael creature in the Magnus Archives, the one who traps people inside an inescapable labyrinth of random corridors?

It was started on a thread on /x/ about mundane photos that unnerved you, and someone posted a photo an empty office area with yellow carpet and wallpaper.
Some time later on another /x/ thread reposted the photo and gave it a simple backstory that it's a limitless alternate dimension of maddening architecture that one can accidentally fall into, and if you hear something then all you can do is pray because it has certainly heard you.

12 year olds got a hold of it and created a wiki where they introduced their badass oc levels and badass oc monsters do not steal and oc human resistance communities not based on anime and cartoons

Kane Pixels went back to the first image and reimagined it along the lines of Half-Life 1 of a government-backed research agency called A-Synch tunneling into an alternate dimension without truly respecting the consequences. A-Synch thought they found an endless area for limitless storage, commercial space, and residential areas and instead realized they royally fucked up.
