There were 3 consecutive mass shooters (Tarrant, Earnest, Crusius) that all cited each other as inspiration and posted their manifestos to 8chan in 2019, right about the time Cloudflare was about to go public.

The most "reddit" sub of reddit blew up a post about kiwifarms today.

The way they write this stuff out sounds like something a GPT model would produce lol.

Someone has a surprisingly nuanced view about the cloudflare person before someone else shows up to make sure that never happens again.

They begin to discuss the prospects of what meaningful action would be. Since that would mean not using the internet anymore and going outside, this convo shuts down pretty quickly.

Remember when I said I was surprised the nuance before didn't get deleted? This is why. The jannies came along to make sure anyone with critical thinking skills was banned.

If you just want to sit around and whine about the BIG BAD JOURNOS for some emotional catharsis, that's fine, but don't force your myopic view onto everyone else.

"The press are scum" applies to them all regardless of their political lean.

The right wing press already run articles on trans people and grooming narratives, adding these isn't going to change anyone's minds because everyone's minds are already made up if they're unwilling to spend time researching on this site. If the more reasoned right wing outlets were going to run an article they would have already, and I don't think far right ones running articles for QAnon retards is going to add any semblance of credibility to this site in anyone's eyes.

We shouldn't derail this further with a spergfight. None of this is going to influence anyone, best to just keep documenting and ridiculing the insanity. It'll play out the way it plays.

RE: The NBC hit piece. There was no chance that Ben Collins wasn't going to write a biased slanderous story, but there are a couple things that I would have thought the editors would have checked.

First, claiming Lucas raised nearly $100,000. At no point did they point out to American readers on a American news site that they were using CAD. Lucas has raised roughly $76,000 US.

The second thing is they compare Cloudflare's stock to the NASDAQ composite. While the NASDAQ does skew almost entirely technology stocks, Cloudflare doesn't trade on the NASDAQ but on the NYSE and Cloudflare is not part of the NASDAQ composite. I'm not even expecting an article like this to give more nuanced market analysis but I would expect them to not leave the reader with the false belief that Cloudflare has anything to do with the NASDAQ.

Does the above change anything? Not really, but just goes to show they don't care about even the most basic facts or incorrect impressions they give readers.
