I would have to disagree. More than likely they’ll try to band their own shitty platform that will be non relevant and will die out, best case scenario it thrives but it’s self contained. Shutting twitter down would better things because twitter is The social space. These people can only thrive in popular forms of media, they can survive on their own, but as we saw from tumblr situation years back it would be more of a quarantine and out of the public eye.

Well I'm not being pessimistic either, if the site goes down it is what it is, but while I don't expect that to happen the things necessary for it to come about would be setting a pretty shitty precedent, and it's looking like that might not be out of the question now. You don't have to necessarily have an emotional attachment to something in order to recognize what it means if it's destroyed.

Taylor Lorenz actually got demoted last time she did bs like this with libsoftiktok, this sort of thing is actually somewhat serious and may require a correction. If Andy Ngo or someone from Breitbart got that story they may do some damage with it.
