That too, but by shutting it down over a 20-minute old post (in a thread that would have been moving way too fast for many to have seen it), Cloudflare's actively moved into moderation territory, too. It's egregious:
- either Cloudflare has people actively monitoring Kiwi threads for badboy-think, in which case, any claim of "impartiality" or how Cloudflare "doesn't have the time to check on a post-by-post basis" is garbage;
- or they immediately took Keffals at his word about the post and jumped on it. Because remember, that fedpost was only up for a tiny fraction of time (at most 20 minutes) before it got deleted from the thread, so either they saw it before it got swept (see point 1), or they took it on faith that it wasn't a doctored screenshot.
Not sure which is worse, to be honest. They're both not the sort of thing you want your impartial DDoS mitigation service doing, especially since they're both now attack vectors that the usual suspects can use in their deplatforming crusades.
