Funny, I referenced TPB yesterday with a lot of the language null coincidentally used today, referring to its state as a shattered shell of what it used to be. Of course the biggest difference with them is it was far more technically clearly illegal (and this place clearly is not.)

There are a lot of other differences. In a lot of way Josh is almost stuck fighting this alone. TPB had the backing of half the tech-savvy world but KF not so much; instead they were confronted directly with the power of the US legal system & its foreign influence, which is one of the few things that kinda backs us up here.

I believe this stems from the fact that most of these losers live their lives in cult-like echo chambers that do act as monoliths, so they take it as gospel when one of their leaders say that X is bad and should be removed.

When you base your entire existence inside groups that do not allow for dissent, I guess it's pretty easy to fool yourself that everyone else does the same.

That makes it easy to do whatever you want, because even the most insane thing is bathed in the warm light of righteousness.

I'm a tech pleb, so I'm not sure if we understood each other correctly, but my solution was mainly intended for the sleeper accounts that are trying to post death threats on Keffals and others.

The real issue is that how many of those that threatened Lucas with harm were actually from the Orchards? And how many people actually threatened him?

We don't know and there's no way to tell. In fact the reason for Cloudflare dropping us seems manufactured. All it took was somebody, possibly Lucas himself, taking that picture for them to finally drop the hammer. While I don't think this is the case I wouldn't put it past him to do this in order to get that final push over the edge.

Nuking every account that is from 2022, or whenever the cutoff date is, wouldn't solve the problem. As it stands the site is lot more quiet now that we're no longer on clearnet. Why? Most people don't know how to use TOR. And those that do know might have tried a couple times, hit a bad node and figured the site was down for good.

Personally I see this as a win. Not only has it managed to trim some of the fat but we've lost people who didn't contribute.

It's not that Keffals is throwing a tantrum, because someone had the nerve to point out he's a creep who's deliberately flouting medical practices and law with his bathtub hormones.

I remember a story a while back -- this would've been pre-KF for me -- where the Archive quietly sanitized some of their 'content', I believe for political purposes. Sadly, I cannot recall the details so take with a grain of salt.

Yes, but if he wasn't able to show everyone those screenshots created 5 minutes after the post was created and 3 minutes before the post was deleted, it would make it a lot harder for him to go to companies like Cloudflare and say "See, they are threatening me, they want to kill me, my life is in danger, do something!". At best, he could try faking incriminating screenshots in that case, which would risk him getting dismissed by those companies as a fraudster.

I am really sorry for saying this but telling people to unplug in the face of a massive TRA onslaught on this site is not helping.
