While I am not a fan of doxing, what have we truly done by posting information we find in a digital phone book?

The main issue was that doxing lead to swatting.

Sure, SWATing is bad but the person that SWATs someone has a fairly good grasp of technology and the interwebs so the Farms not posting the information does nothing.

I wonder if it was making doxes only visible to logged in users would help at all. It would take a ton of effort to go through all past post and mark those specific posts as doxes and I'm not sure if it would even matter, just an idea though.

I'd go even further and lock all accounts with 0 posts irrespective of age and/or most recent login activity ( @secret watcher doesn't count, as he has 1 post and is one of KF's greatest living treasures, therefore he must be preserved at all costs).

I'd also keep new accounts as strictly invite only for the foreseeable future. If any of our newfrens start fedposting, Null can trace their back to whoever invited them and remove both from the Farms.

This would also happen here if you violated even a completely ridiculous court order instead of appealing it. Even if a court order is later found to be itself unconstitutional, or even just outright silly, a contempt finding based on it is still valid. We probably wouldn't have this specific kind of court order here, but someone who acted in the same manner would probably still be held in contempt.

In this case, he isn't being ordered to use a pronoun but to stay the fuck off the property. For a ridiculous reason. And as for the other order from the school to use fake pronouns for a troon student, he can't exactly violate that if he isn't even on the property. Here he'd at least have a First Amendment challenge (on a number of prongs including freedom of speech belief and religion) because the school employing him is publicly funded.

KeePassXC is a decent non-pozzed password manager. It can generate some decently long 30 character passwords as well. Just be aware that it's database needs to be backed up manually. (eg. USB stick or cloud - it's useless without the master password so pick a decent one if you plan to use cloud storage.)

Not an expert on the matter, but what if you use Guerrillamail for that? They save emails at most for an hour and they don't need registration. You can even visit their website via TOR. Take a look yourself, if you're not familiar with them. Guerrillamail. Click the "WTF?"-Button, to get an explanation of what they are doing.

The problem with this one is if someone learns your email handle, they can literally type it into the site and receive emails for it: then initiate a password reset and hijack an account. It's best used for burners.
