One thing I'll give Olly is that he's at least not actually trying to be a woman, but a trans woman specifically - which at the very least is some sort of achievable goal. I also think this is ironically is why so many trans people seem so uncomfortable to even discuss him - he's essentially doing to them what they do the gender they're trying to larp as.

It's very entertaining to watch.

Not sure if anyone remembers my brief posting as I haven't posted on here for about a year. I basically went on holiday, returned and couldn't be bothered to write anything as PT just seemed so increasingly boring. I've lurked on and off since then but only feeling spurred to post again now thanks to the recent purse clutching shenanigans of heshe-who-must-not-be-named and his rabid Twitterati flying monkeys. (Nothing makes me want to post more than like being told you're the Worst Thing On The Internet™ by a bunch of degenerate porn addicted nonces, but anyway...)

Back onto topic, I can't help but wonder how Philosophy Tube manages to be the epitome of a lolcow while also boring the pants off me every single time he posts. It's bizarre. He's just so b o r i n g. I think his narcissism prevents any genuine vulnerability which would at least provide a minimum level of entertainment. I mean that for both his haters and his fans.

Because his channel is stagnating. Maybe even dying.

To celebrate the return of KiwiFarms, I thought I'd regale you with a tale of YouTube trooning failure.

Witness.

As others have noted, his Patreon is back to pre-trooning numbers now. He's also losing subscribers at a faster rate each month. Last year, he lost around 200 subs each month. This year, it's almost doubled and he consistently loses over 300 subs each month.

Even when adding new subscribers, PT has had a net loss of around -100 subs each month this year. That's around -1200 total subs a year. With 6000 subs currently, unless something changes, he'll lose nearly a quarter of his subscriber base by this time next year.

Even on the months with new videos, the average loss is around -80. So all that work to keep a total 20 extra subscribers. That's it.

There seems to be no sign of this slowing, either. Pre-troon Ollie at least had small but reputable growth each month.

But that's not all!

In Oct, 2019, Ollie had 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. By Nov, 2020, he'd reached 750k, and he then reached 1 million by Sept, 2021. An average of 250k a year.

It's now been another year, and Ollie has a total of 180,000 new subscribers. That's nearly 100,000 less than the previous two years. Whoops.

What about his video views, I hear nobody ask. Well let me tell you the answer!

Pre-trooning, his channel averaged around 250k-400k views in the weeks without new videos. His views would then spike to about 500k in the weeks with new videos.

There's been no real change with the spikes, so new view count hits around 600k for a week or two after he posts a new video. But in the weeks between, his views have dropped to around 150k-200k - basically half what they were before he started cosplaying Contra, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Margot Kidder, the most famous trans woman in Britain.


You can literally see how the stats get worse right after Jan, 21, AKA the month or our cow's great troon.

As others on here have already noted, Olly must be slowly coming to realise This Is It. There's no super celebritydom just around the corner for him, he's not an attractive twink on a hot gen-Z TV series and, outside of yooff fashion, no one in the real world really wants to see trans women play a Strong Female Character. Especially a trans woman who can't fucking act. The last time he actually filmed something was nearly a year ago, right? He's been flung from the world of TV and none of his fans even fucking noticed lol

His transition was so obviously an attempt to grab the limelight and - once the prince inevitably bombs - he'll have to face up to the fact that his girl-facing has done nothing but fuck up his YouTube "career". He would actually have more Patreon subscribers and YouTube views today if he hadn't dressed himself up as Ms Frankenstein

So what's next for our dear Lolcow. Move to Los Angeles? Start a Twitch channel? Get an autism diagnosis? BPD? I don't think it's gonna be too long before he starts to come off the rails more and more as he realises how little of a future there is for him. I really can't see Olly accepting this reality without some kind of mental breakdown (= narcissistic rage) and I'll ROFL when I see it. I'm just waiting now, I guess.

I wonder first, what else there is for him to cosplay. He's tried being the know-it-all academic, the posh British acteur, the trans woman de jour; where can he go from here that'll fit his wheelhouse. I think political twitter would be an obvious route, but it's not like he's actually getting any traction with his NHS griping and he just seems so out of touch (no doubt, because he actually is)

Second, will we see him turn to fame for fame's sake? That would be my ideal outcome NGL as then we'd get some real entertainment for once. I think he could go this way as desperation starts to take hold. It's literally the only thing he's wanted since he graduated with his posh-boy degree a decade (?) ago. Clearly, he should grow up, 'touch grass' and find genuine real-world connections and happiness, but he's never going to do that, so what alternatives are left for him?

Eh, maybe I'm so entertainment-starved that I've started imagining an exciting lolcow future that'll never actually happen. Who knows, who cares.

It's obvious everyone finds him creepy and uncanny valley material but no one can really call him out because they can't quite verbalise it; but as I said ultimately it's because he's essentially skin-walking the role of a transwoman. And if they admit that they find it unsettling to see someone skin-walk transwomen, isn't that giving TERFs ammunition? So they sort of ignore Olly's existence as much as they can, so it's no wonder that he's YouTube channel is failing - both the TWAW/SocJuc crowd and normies find him uncomfortable to watch.
