The average Joe and Jane don't see this, though. They see maybe a small handful of trans people throughout their life and don't put much thought into it beyond "Being Gay DLC."

Unless they have existing prejudices, most people under 40 aren't going to care much about trans people due to a lack of negative experiences with them. On the other hand, though, they're repeatedly shown that the vocal opposition to trans people are annoying retards like Gunt, MTG, Fuentes, and JK Rowling. They're not going to change their minds because they see doing so as siding with the worse freaks.

If you want people to be more critical of trans issues, maybe elevate people that are more palatable and can provide calm critiques and who will engage in civil discussions.
