Now Null is really going to get fucked lmao.

As if establishment backed tranny harassment wasnt enough...
I know it's pre-alpha, but Vice City doesn't LOOK like Vice City. Vice City from the PS2 era was viable through its time period in the 80s. It looks like poor Florida so far.

To be honest, if its vice city today, it would make sense. The glamour and beauty of the 80's has since been replaced by safe and boring "modernity".

A smart person would make that a plot point that the city has lost its charm and artistic soul in the decades since. But hey, that would dare to suggest modern art, architecture and culture are bad so it wont be done.

It looks like some gameplay elements from RDR2 will be incorporated in GTA 6. Mainly with how weapons are handled and possibly NPC interaction. That would be handy, especially for robbing stores and establishments.

It looks like that GTA will be grounded to reality like how IV was compared to SA. We'll have to wait and see how it performs in action.

I’m willing to argue if GTA VI does end up becoming a decent to O.K. game, I think if anything it will give me caution to think that Rockstar did this whole “leave out all explicit jokes, offensive material and fun” as bait to make people spend more money on GTA Online.

I remembered when people thought the same thing when SAINTS ROW™ came out, except that game ended up being one of the worst games of the year.

Pretty clever, but it’s also deceiving on their part.

That whole "changing work culture" and "not punching down as much" shit gives me some pause, but I will say that the game doesn't look too bad given what we now know of it. Female main chara doesn't really bother me particularly so long as her voice lines/dialogue aren't annoying, if they go with the spicy latina Spanglish garbage that other devs are doing it'll be annoying. As long as it's not overtly preachy and politically obnoxious I'll likely buy it and play it. I don't expect games I play to be entirely bereft of politics or political satire, but ideally it'll poke fun at both sides rather than just 'ORANGE MAN IS BAD' type shit. The other thing that gives me pause is that a lot of the main players with Rockstar who basically built the company and made it what it is are now gone, plus all of this retarded MTX/milking of GTA Online and their complete abandonment of RDR2 and RDR Online. When it comes to the 'Definitive Edition' trilogy they should've fucking known better and should've never released it in such a state, but that's more on the dev they hired that task out to more than them.

I guess we'll see, as of now it looks alright. I saw a lot of retarded Redditors going on about how it looks like shit, clearly not understanding that what got leaked is not remotely a final build of the game and it's likely using some low res textures and effects so it can be a basic testbed for devs to fuck about with. And who knows when in the process that footage was taken? If we assume they've been working on this since at least RDR2's release, that could very well be a build from 2-3 years ago.

I'm sick of gay culture war shit so maybe I'm being way too optimistic out of wishful thinking that I'll get an escape from that in the form of this game but there have been several huge failures in media already, I would hope Rockstar has been keeping their ear to the ground. We've seen several franchises basically destroyed due to the shoehorning in of 'woke' bullshit by now, in movies, TV series and vidya. If Rockstar's been paying any attention at all they'll know that that sort of shit has reached max saturation and people are fucking tired of it. If that's the case I don't see them betting their franchise on it.

As long as the gameplay isn't hurt by culture war bullshit I think GTA VI will be a great success for Rockstar, regardless of how bad (or good even) the story itself is. I think the amount of people who play the game either just as a sandbox to fuck with or for use with other mods I think will vastly offset how many people give a shit about the story sucking ass. I gotta say from the leaks, setting aside how incomplete it looks at this stage, it looks to be gameplay wise just a evolution of V. So frankly I'm expecting it to be a success as long as they don't do something stupid like ship the game in a incomplete state, which granted is very possible.

I hope that the gameplay and mission structure allows for organic open-ended player choice. GTA V and RDR2 were practically linear with their missions. Go off the beaten path or against the script, mission failed.

A bizarre steriotype that lasts to this day, even among the woke crowds, is the hispanic character ocassionally throwing "spanish" terms, usually when they are upset or emotional.

I legit wish they would stop and realise that hispanic people dont fucking talk like that.
IMO done correctly it'd be what the character mutters under their breath sometimes or w/e

I doubt GTA 6 will be as dark as GTA IV.

When even Niko is horrified of you, you're surely something else. Worse than Trevor.
My favorite thing about this guy is just how insanely detailed his backstory is.

For a minor character from some random optional sidequests, he's got more lore than a lot of modern main characters do nowadays.

I remember the fail calls from IV would add to the characters' backstories.

That's attention to detail.

Reminder there was a subreddit that was dedicated to jacking it to Lucia's ass before it got buttfucked by T2

Don't forget about Jason, he got one too. It's just as bad. It's even still up.

"Vice City" looks like Los Santos with some renamed assets. I know it's intentional, but still...

GTA V had character development with its heist depending on your crew choice.

I remember how happy I was to have Patrick again after seeing his random event. I knew we had someone with experience on the job.

It was also cool to see him remembering a bit of the heist in GTA 4 from his perspective and even mention Nico a bit.
