Responding my own post. Judas was BRIBED. Thirty pieces of silver was him making false claims so the Pharisee’s could frame Christ and then delivering Christ to the Pharisee’s.

Let that sink in for a second. This guy basically has no reason to defend you - in fact not doing so would make his life easier. He wouldn’t have to deal with these headaches from locals and he doesn’t even know you personally. It’s not that he even likes you, it’s that he doesn’t care about the charges being brought against you and doesn’t even understand the context of why they are. To him this is some needless and boring tribal affair. He feels some sense of guilt for what he is doing but also realizes that he has to appease these locals some so he tries to appeal to their sense of decency and it still fails.

I think it’s John of Patmos who was cowering behind Mary, he was part of the inner circle of the Apostles with his brother James and Peter. He was also called the Beloved Apostle and wrote Revelations.

I wouldn’t say inevitable at every point but if the League of Nations had accepted the Anti-Racism clause it might have been what was needed. The Kodoha were far less interested in China than the Soviet Union but were also markedly more Anti-Western than other factions. I saw an Alternate History Video a while back that basically said The Shogun’s descendant would have been a good path for Japan because he wasn’t Anti-Western at all and really wanted to see Japan prosper. Some of the Kodoha believed he would be a superior leader but these were all angry guys in their 20s and 30s really running it so who knows where that goes.

I don’t really have an answer for what the right thing to do was and it was largely just a shitpost on my part but I do think it’s fun to consider alternate paths in history. This is why I play HOI4 and EUIV for example.
