Japanese otaku (the actual otaku, not just casual enjoyers of animu and mango) are kind of like Cartoon Network spergs here in America. They take everything way too seriously, stalk voice actors and animators and form parasocial relationships with them, can’t handle change (especially if takes away their precious perv tropes), and yes, are fat, greasy and smelly.

There are really no differences I can think of between the two. Both feel the need to embarrass themselves by wearing tacky merch to the most inappropriate places and almost always fall in the yellow zone on the autism spectrum (possibly dangerous but probably just socially retarded.) Neither can seem to get a job beyond part-time convenience store work.

Anyways I don’t think we have enough Japanese kiwis (Japaniwis? ダメ人間？) to warrant a Japanese lolcow thread (thank Byuu for that,) and the lolcows that have been introduced so far are meh. The thing with violent spergs in Japan is you have a society itching to ostracize them, rather than stroke their hair and call them pretty like the West. Even if we did find a golden goose, we would need to translate every stupid thing they do for the other 99% of the farms. Then again, it doesn’t hurt to have one either.

One thing I've noticed about Japanese society is that it's very lolcow repellent by its own nature. As far as I understand, they're remarkably tolerant of all sorts of weird stuff and perversion so long as you do not make a fool out of yourself in public.

There's this woman on Twitter who I forget her full name, but her first name is Sachi. Born outside the country, half white, lives in Spain, rarely sets foot in Japan, and her whole account is complaining about how Japanese media is "regressive" and how it must change to match global woke standards. No this guy even claimed Japan was somehow behind Lenin taking over in Russia, the rise of Islam in Arabia, and most bizarrely that Hitler was part Japanese and really wanted Japan to be the dominant power.

As far as I can remenber, the answer is yes cuz Tanaka has big boner for "Hisoukan" (The feel of tragic heroism or despair) and IJN ships (I will explain about his obbesion with it later)
The reason behind not opening the global server is not opening is because of "The agressive connecting"(bacically DDoS) that caused the server down as he claims it but it is suspected to just online maintainance because DMM said DDoS didn't happened in contrast to tanaka's claim.
But why he didn't just say online maintainance?
This is because in 2018~2020, many ship girl game from china and fanbase of kancolle enraged of it. SEGA and Tanaka even filed lawsuit for one of those games for copyright infringement(and they lost). This is true, you'd be hard-pressed to even find a regular rainbow pride flag in Japan, same for most other Asian countries. Of course, they are gays and trans that exist across Asia but they are in smaller numbers and usually aren't as visible (even in more western influenced societies like SK and Japan). And they don't push it onto children in public school, this will always be the one thing I will appreciate Asian countries for, and it doesn't seem to correlate with how rich/poor a country is either.
