Worked all day, took a nap to the Darrel Brooks trial coverage, woke up, went fishing and Holy Shit He's got 20k viewers. Couldn't archive the page either.
Are you Winning yet Troon internet?
He hit 26k earlier.
I mean, it literally is paying amazingly. Look at those superchats or whatever they call them on rumble.

I haven't counted but I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear he hit $10k, maybe even 20k or more from this stream. But this isn't normal, and he won't be making anywhere near the same amount of money going forward.
They cut stadia and refunded EVERYTHING, full amount, with real money two days before end of quarter. Not refund as in "store credits" but as in "real money will be transferred back to your bank account". We are probably talking ~100$ dollars in refunds here as unconfirmed data suggests they had >>100.000 users but less than 1M users. That is how fucking bad they thing Q4 will be since they want to take all these writeoffs on this quarter and make next quarter look less catastrophic. That screams panic shutdown to me. Not even trying to "chromecast is still useful so you only get 50% of value".
My laptop in the gameroom for "reddit/EldenRing/BeyondTheFogDoor (reddit for getting/helping people with co-op for bosses)" does not have a ad-blocker, because I am lazy.
From time to time when waiting for the host to summon me I browse Youtube on it. The ads are like fucking 2008 all over again. All the ads are shit like "meet croatian women", "chat with indonesian women". Like fucking bottom of the barrel ads.
There are no ads in my feed on that laptop for vacations, resorts, <normal stuff>, it is all just bottom of the barrel "chat with women" or "free to play mobile games".
That tells me enough to position my investments for this and next quarters report.
And also throw in some gambling money.
If you want to know how bad the internet ad space is, try loading a webpage, any webpage, on mobile Chrome without adblock.
A small article, maybe say 5 to 10 paragraphs, will have an ad between each and every paragraph as well as a "popup" video floating in the upper right corner and a banner ad video across the bottom. And most of the ads between each paragraph will be videos or at least animated somethings. A single one of these videos is upwards of 400 megs. Data caps? They don't give a shit about you and your finances, they have advertisers to pander to, and the advertisers were told somewhere a 5 minute commercial playing in 240x160 pseudo-popup in the corner of your screen sells more toothpaste. You can't override this shit with Brave, btw, it's "Google Web Services" which is a shitty embedded version of Chrome that the OS uses. You can only "open with brave" each link you view instead.
These are the kinds of websites Google serves up via their "Google" app, which is built into Android as a news aggregator. By default, you get periodic notifications and swiping left on the home screen displays it. If you have a google centric system (Project Fi -- Google's phone company, or one of the cheaper carriers) that doesn't replace the standard launcher, that's the default. I can't imagine how bad Youtube is without adblock. I haven't viewed it without adblock enabled in forever.
This is what Google's entire empire is built upon. Literally every other thing Google works on is funded by this ad network. And the ad network is dying.
There's a reason Google went after
AdNauseum (an adblocker that intentionally fed Google bad data) and is
taking steps to permanently destroy ad blockers in their next major update, at which point I'll immediately switch to Firefox.
