I get where you're coming from, but it's not like they would say, "Well, you deleted the thread, so we no longer have a problem with you." They'd say, "Okay, now delete THIS thread. Now THIS thread. Now ban all anti-trans speech. Now hand over all your users' info." It'd be like every time someone is publicly accused of racism and they respond with a groveling apology, then end up getting reamed into oblivion anyway. There's no incentive to compromise or to make small concessions.
