If Big Tech is so insistent on controlling the digital public square to the point of choking out or acquiring all competition then they have a responsibility for keeping that square open for all voices, full stop.
This was actually a significant point in the 5th Circuit ruling.

And, yes, anti-trust action against Alphabet, Meta, and Twitter is way overdue.

There's plenty of other creators who have flourished on Rumble/Odysee and cut down their YT need.
Were any of them getting tens of thousands of views during their live streams? Were they on the top charts of super chats on the platform?

The point isn't so much that Nick is special in himself, it's that if he can continue drawing those large audiences to alternative platforms for over a year, there's actual competition possible. Because remember, when Ninja went to Facebook gaming or whatever the service couldn't draw in audiences, neither could fireside or whatever it was called, and Clubhouse died as well. Odysee isn't really drawing in the numbers but Rumble is, however both are seeing more creators mirror their content on them, so as soon as one can show that you don't just die in the long term by moving there as a big name like Nick, that's a huge issue for Youtube.

One big thing to also look out for is can a creator grow an audience on one of those platforms without starting on Youtube. As in, can some rando just make an account, and actually be a success.

I knew Rackets was playing with fire after his first ban. If I were him, I would've dropped it and kept my grift going. Glad to see his viewers are following him, but will it last? If people remember, Ralph's viewers and more followed him to dlive after he was banned, and slowly fell off. The reason Big Tech has as much power as it does is the fact that people are too lazy to use multiple and alt platforms. Look at Amazon. That took over due to people's laziness. Only way this kind of shit gets fixed is government intervention. Specifically, the constitution needs to apply to social media since it's the current public square, and big tech needs to lose all their subsidies and tax breaks.

Now, Rackets is a lawyer, has tons of money and connects. He could get people together to start getting actual change done with government. But Occam's razor or schrodinger's cat or something like that says there's an equal chance of him doing something useful as there is for him to just trust the plan and wait 2 more weeks. But we all know which one will happen.

"Community Guidelines" has such a soy sound to it.
Especially considering that the word "Guidelines" is not supposed to refer to set in stone rules. The phrase is pretty blatant example of real life newspeak.

The difference between Ralph and Nick is Nick has some level of talent and he hasn't burned every bridge he has. Nick will get guests, will be a guest on other channels, and he still has friends who will pimp his channels on Youtube and Twitter for him if needed. Ralph has no loyalty, and because he has no loyalty, nobody is looking out for him except those who want to laugh at his stupidity.

Pretty much. One a personal anecdote, when Twitch was getting raked over by everyone for their 50/50 revenue split applying to every creator next year (which on a personal level, it sucks, but it makes business sense); I saw a lot of tweets from site called Fanhouse that were enticing people to come over to their site and started making content over there, with promises of 90/10 revenue split.

For those who are wondering what the fuck Fanhouse is, I had to google it: TLDR, PG version of Onlyfans, which means sex and nudity are not allowed on their platform lmao.

I don't know exact metrics, but most of the people who do thrive are MAGA/Q related. X22, Salty Cracker etc, but they use cross platform (Odysee, Rumble, Bitchute, Foxhole, their own site etc). The amount Salty Cracker rakes in per stream isn't trivial and he only streams 3 times a week. Those movements have their own bases on the .WIN sites, on GAB, Telegram, Truth Social etc.

It's 100% possible. You have to remember too, those people have long been kicked off YT, off Twitter, FB, Reddit etc. This isn't new to them. But it is likely "new" to Nick's audience. As the censorship gets broader, they'll start yeeting more normal creators and more people will just go over to other platforms.

A trend I've noticed is huge number of "X Explained" videos popping up. Usually related to geek/nerd related stuff (though that's probably based on my viewing habits). Back in the day, the nerdy stuff would've been self explanatory as the nerds would've already known the basics, and any video would've just been on people giving their own takes or narrating/dramatizing a particular part of lore. With these "X Explained" videos it seems like the whole purpose is to draw in people aren't fans of the subject at all, and give a very dumbed down rundown of the subject matter. No doubt with the intention of selling ads and/or product.

But they also all had their start and growth on youtube, though in some cases like Salty Cracker he still has a channel and has uploaded to it as recently as 12 hours ago: https://www.youtube.com/c/SaltyCracker/videos

But here's the other thing, Nick is bigger than any of them, and he's kind of a normie. That last part is very important.

These fucking people...

I really don't understand this rabid deplatforming of 'content creators'. Aside from the fact I post here and can freely speak my mind, in real life I am the same too. There are people who have opinions different to mine and I am glad for it, because I like the banter of different sides of an argument, even if they wholly go against my own beliefs and opinion.

These eunuchs want what? Some kind of homogenous newspeak and thought?

How fucking boring would that be.

Truthfully, no. They just want control. They want people like us to exist in some regard, even if only as a bogeyman, so that they have an excuse to act like faggots and lord it over everyone else. If Kiwifarms didn't exist, Keffals would have to invent one... much like their gender.

It's been said before, but...

they're like the corporate villain in demolition man in that regard, imo. they NEED 'evil' to exist to keep people afraid, and they need it to exist to weaponize against their enemies.
