Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Still having the issue where all post timestamps show up as "later_today_at_x" or rarely "tomorrow_at_x", but only on Brave. Refreshing I can see the stamps load for a split second before being replaced with later_today_at_x. The feature works correctly on Tor, Chrome and mobile. Disabling Brave shield didn't fix it.

edit: Found the source of the problem by process of elimination - it was an extension that auto-sets the quality of Youtube videos. The same extension was present on Chrome so I have no idea whatsoever why this would break timestamps on Brave only.

It might just be me but ever since the website came back up last week I'm unable to see Horizontal lines when I try to insert them in my posts, I like to break up posts sometimes to show a clear change of subject.

This is of course a very low priority issue if it's not just me experiencing it.

Speaking only for me on Brave via. .net using some VPN, everything seems good, considered the men in dresses are still trying to cause hassle, and message threads have more reactions now.
 
I've notice when I try to get on the site with a tablet such as a Ipad the 'checking for robots' page just keeps going and it never changes to another page. I've tried chrome and browser with it and VPN on/off.

Don't have any issues though on Android or PC.

Trying to edit account details on mobile. Asking for invite code (required field) to save page.

I had the same problem last week and discovered WebAssembly is disabled by default. Here's how to enable it per site:
Click the dropdown on the left side of the URL bar
Click Permissions
Enable JavaScript JIT.

edit: Link to Bromite (Android) for anyone interested. I switched from Brave probably a year ago and don't have any complaints.

Site neither loads with iPhone's Safari or Brave, hangs on the "Checking bots" page. My Onion Browser (the only one approved by the foundation) won't load the Onion site due to lacking WebAssembly or something like that.

Per Null's recent advice on Telegram, I've switched to posting from tor only due to being in a country with hostile laws against free speech.

I CAN NOT upload images from mobile tor browser (not checked desktop yet, will do so later when I get out of bed and go to my desktop). My number one irritation in life is doing the same thing needlessly over and over, and after scrolling through 999999 memes in my phone to select one, and it not uploading, over 10 times, I'm frankly incredibly mad at the internet. I know you said to switch to tor but not uploading images is a dealbreaker. I'll have to rely on the clearnet, not giving away too much, and the hope that Null won't roll over to the authorities if IP info is requested.

Since its return, it seems the site is in a permanent state of DDoS, with some brief intervals. Always assume the castratti are working behind-the-scenes trying to take site down.

Honestly at this point I feel Null should partner with whoever's hosting these botnets and enter into an agreement with them to have the site periodically taken down and gain a share of the profits.

Maybe it's just me, but over the last 3 days (including today) the Farms has become unreachable at the same time every day (around 22:00 UTC; convert it to your local time yourselves). Sometimes it's just for a few minutes like today; though the last couple of days were more like 30-60 minute interruptions.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the troons are running their DDoS attacks to a schedule rather than just willy-nilly. Maybe they're running out of steam (for now)?

tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the 22:00 UTC attacks stop as of tomorrow; at least one of them would be reading this thread. Will be interesting to see what time they reschedule their regularly scheduled daily DDoS to
