Killing non-combatants is completely justifiable if they are directly aiding the enemy's war effort through collaboration. Like I mentioned before as many as 105,000 people were summarily executed in France for collaboration with the Nazis. They rightfully got the punishment they deserved for their evil act

That being said, it is absolutely a war crime to target civilians who are simply cooperating with the occupation out of necessity and certain types of military personnel like medics and doctors that are not serving in an armed capacity.

wrt the latest war crime video and whodunit, the video was posted initially to another pro-Ukraine channel today at 13:26. The caption currently reads:

Google translate gives this as:

We received a video from Kupyansk before its deoccupation.

How Russian pigs destroyed the Ukrainian civilian population

The message has been edited (last at 13:50), so maybe it originally said something different. However, there are comments starting from the minute it was posted. Translating the earliest ones gives a lot of expletives and expressions of hatred at Russians, but tone generally seems to be angry/horrified rather than 'those collaborationists had it coming'.

Which means that at least by that time the caption definitely blames it on Russians.

So it doesn't seem like Ukrainians initially posted this as a boast and later backtracked - it was meant to implicate Russians from the start. As for who actually did it? Well the quoted comment actually brings up a good point, Ukrainians finding this video on the phone of a defeated enemy is... a bit suspiciously convenient, but that doesn't really prove anything by itself.

One thing which was brought up in PMs is that if you download the video from Telegram, the metadata shows that it was created today at 13:24. Frankly I know jack shit about video metadata, so I'm not sure how significant it is. From what I understand, it might not always show the actual time the video was recorded. If this is the actual time of recording, it should mean that not only the Ukries did it, but it ended up on a Telegram shitpost channel within minutes of the bodies hitting the ground - which also seems a bit improbable? I'm more inclined to think the timestamp in the metadata doesn't reflect the actual recording time for some reason.

tl;dr: Ukries blamed murder on Russians from the start, but no solid evidence of who actually did it

I disagree that killing non-combatants is justified. They killed 105k due to butthurt and that’s never a good reason to end anybody’s life.

It was a little more than butthurt, they collaborated with an evil regime that was the enemy of everything France stood for. Not only that, but they continued to collaborate even after the Germans had occupied the Vichy zone. These people genuinely supported Nazi ideology and carried it out in their own country.

Germans ruthlessly exploited France during the occupation and many of those collaborationists helped murder thousands of innocent people. They were war criminals and traitors and deserved execution. On the other hand, there were people who cooperated out of necessity who were not punished because they did nothing wrong.

EDIT: And I do agree, there is no discussion of Allied war crimes when there absolutely should be. I don't like the idea that people can get away with shit simply because they were on the winning team.
