They were never considered to be full Russian, they were never considered to be full citizens they lived in a fucking ghetto. Jews lived in ghettos in Eastern Europe and in parts of Western Europe. The word ghetto originated in Italy to describe, the region the the locked-in prison where Jews were forced to live so that they could be separated from the rest of the population: that's what ghetto is and that's where ghetto originated.

My parents experienced the same prejudice in Argentina, my grandparents experienced that prejudice in Argentina and they were immigrants so there was suspicion of immigrants but there was suspicion of my parents and my brother and my family that was born in Argentina - which makes me Latina - that as Jews that they were not really of the country.
