Screw optics, I guess.
Jesus christ dude, thats standard practice. The lenses on those fuckers are delicate as all get out. They are also expensive as shit. it takes like, half a second to pop the top when its time to use it. If you don't have half a second to aim, you don't need the optic in the first place and are doing reflex fire that does not require it.

This is also an Ancient Buddhist mustache + haircut, Zaluzhnyi said that he has become a Buddhist and that the Swasktika is just a protective talisman.

It seems that Buddhism has become popular inside the AFU.

I think it’s hilarious you have right wing unironic Nazis that think Hitler is based clutching pearls and agreeing with Putin “denazifying” Ukraine while sharing every swastika they see on Ukrainian troops as some sort of black mark.
I think it is mostly the ironic Nazis doing that. As a real Nazi, I think that bracelet is bitchin' and I would wear it along with that watch of Hitler's that was auctioned off a couple months back.

The clash is real.

If you care about "ukronazis" you're mentally stunted. Go to reddit and twitter and push your spergy tankie crap there, maybe you find some audience of Blumenthals that are triggered by nationalists and believe in "internationalist socialism" or w/e.
Understand where you are and that people simply don't give a fuck, it's a war, and a territory must be liberated of invading scum. Priorities, always and forever.
Also, I was reading the 24th February page on the first thread, surreal experience. There were like hundreds of enthusiastic pro-Russian, pro-war, pro-invasion posts, with basically no opposition.
Shameful behavior. Luckily things have turned towards a more normal atmosphere.

Calling anyone that disagrees with supporting "the current thing" a Nazi is about as retarded as thinking that Ukraine is an innocent democracy that did nothing to deserve whats happening right now.

Pretty much proves that most current hohol supporter haven't been paying attention to the war in eastern ukraine thats been going on since 2014. I wish Liveleak was still around because there were plenty of videos to educate you on how nice those hohols really are.

And its not just troops. They can't even hide their swastikas when they make propaganda interviews

Yes, so? Completely different point than the one I was replying to. And thanks for highlighting all the paragraphs in which ADL defended AZOV.
To be completely fair, if you are a Ukrainian nationalist the Nazi's actually WERE liberators in WW2. Ukraine had, for the past 4 centuries at that point, been fighting for independence from either Poland or Russia, and the Germans rolled in and absolutely fucked both. If you were a Ukrainian nationalist in the 20th century, there was only one side to pick, and it was not the side supporting Poland or the Russians.

Considering how Putin is basing this entire war on centuries of historical grievance, its a major oversight to ignore Ukraine's historical context.

Because a ton of people (including me even if I wasn't pro-war) fell for the whole "Russia is Based, Russia is strong, Russia is a positive this and that etc. etc."

Let's be honest, we all thought this would be over in two weeks tops, even if Ukraine didn't wave the white flag Russia would take Kyiv and the war would enter an occupation phase for the most part, and it was only after a couple days did people start to see things go wrong definitively.

Instead, Russia's military has been exposed as being stuck how it was during the 90s, insanely corrupt with an inept command structure.

The worst part is the Russian military is working exactly as designed. Putin is like any other tin pot dictator. He does not want a competent military that could be a threat to him. So he let the military deliberately degrade while focusing on a central core of elite troops controlled by his flunkies. And nukes.

The problem Putin ran into is those elite troops got absolutely wrecked in his retarded assault on Kiev. So he HAD to rely on the regular forces. And they just were not ready for the task. Now its just a numbers game, as Putin burns through the accumulated stockpile of ammunition left over from the Soviet Empire. Without any means to replace any of it in a meaningful capacity. His Mafia state was very good at bluffing and looking tough. But the moment his bluff was called he had nothing.

TBH, even I am shocked at just how decrepit the regular Russian Army is. Russia had for years projected this image of post-soviet reform and modernization. But there is just nothing there. They can't even stop the Ukrainian Air Force from flying, or use their own navy to effect a blockade of the Black Sea.

This is basic great power shit. And they can't do it! I thought if they had mobilized back in April they would have probably won the war, but now I think the lack of mobilization was not an oversight or sign of over confidence. They literally COULD NOT mobilize! They don't have the neccessary equipment to outfit half a million new soldiers. Ukraine on the other hand has a blank check to call on every NATO supply dump it wants.

There is a reason the Ukrainian Army is starting to look like proper operators while the Russian Army is starting to look like your bog standard third world cannon fodder.

Liberators? Alexa, what is the Babbi yar massacre and what did the Nazis thought of Slavs?

Understandable.
I never fell completely because of my East Europe geographical positioning and heritage, and tumultuous family history with Russians (and Ukrainians tbh), but I did look at Russia pushing its social agenda in the region as a positive, in average. It's a really complicated dilemma for us in the area, but most people that have a brain realize that war is a much serious issue than migration and queers. But I would be lying if I would say that we don't fear following in the footsteps of the West. We don't want historical statues torn down and people moaning at us 24/7 that we pogromed them or impaled them as invaders hundreds of years ago, just go to your fucking homelands and leave us alone. And we don't want pride parades, we don't want dudes in dog masks with children on the streets, we don't want any of this shit, it holds NO VALUE for us.
These things have to be said even if the replies will be some Russian vodka afficionado laughing about how Poland will be brown and how the West will force us all to have gay marriage and buttseks normalizing. Truth remains truth, even in time of war.
But yes, I did fall myself for quite a bit of the narrative. For example, I was nearly completely convinced Russia was not involved on gayopping the West and messing with elections, deffo wrong there, Russia has run a successful propaganda campaign inflaming each extreme in the US. And those narratives came from Aaron Mate and Blumenthal and Grayzone and the sort, which is incredible considering the current situation.
A lot of fog of war, a lot of propaganda, and very, very few people that are genuine. Many lies. Many obfuscations. Many deaths that should've been avoided, far too many.
The money trail should be followed more closely. We have to find out how some of these orgs and people are funded, it's deeply suspicious, regardless of how much you hate the West cause your Patreon and Twitter got shoah'ed and that whiteness, queer and black studies exist.

There's just something up about the news this weekend. I know mods. I said I'd stay out of these threads and not be a pearl clutching faggot, but there's something that really urks me.

Not once was the T-word mentioned. Not trannies. Terrorism. It's sort of surreal how our clear-net media is just openly encouraging terrorism against Russia. The same way Tiktok people were encouraging civilians to attack military targets back when this whole shebang kicked off. Maybe my patriotism button got damaged when I inhaled some burning stock traders on 9/11 or when my 3/4ths of my best friend came back from Iraq, but lately - it's starting to feel like how we mock China.

and the worst part. This wouldn't be the first time we armed a small country with rather dangerous weaponry and let them loose on that side of the world.

Mods if you feel this belongs in the other thread, I'll delete this and stay the fuck out of this one.

Hot take: Even a neo-nazi has a right to sovereignty.
If they did not, the planet would be invading Iran, Saudi and Afghanistan (again, poor sods lmao), and potentially Poland and Hungary next.
Determining what exactly is a neo-nazi is a question of power wielding. Who can decide which people are the ultimate evil that deserves occupation and denazification is the one who has power. This is why there is such an intense struggle to define the boundaries of National Socialism and Fascism.
The largest issue here is genociding minorities. There is indeed a large problem if a country decides that it can physically get rid of parts of its population. There is a very difficult calculation to be made about what misery an international intervention will bring vs the misery of genocide, maybe civil war, displacement, destabilizing an area. I don't pretend to have the answers, but things should be discussed, hopefully without neolibs, neocons and other types of imperialism enjoyers.

The Russian Army cruised for years on the old Red Army's reputation. Most people in the "regular" world figured they were still combat-ready and capable. When money was appropriated for operations and maintenance, a lot was siphoned off. Money went for flashy weapons systems that either don't work right or will never be used. We saw the result earlier this year. Still believe the same thing has happened with the nuclear forces - since there's no chance the weapons will ever be used, money intended for maintenance and upgrades has largely gone into people's pockets.

Add to all that piss-poor operational doctrine, overly centralized command and control, suppression of initiative at the lower echelons and the lack of a meaningful noncommissioned officer corps and you have the hot mess known as the Russian military.
