I haven't really been paying attention, and I don't have time to watch the entire stream right now. Who snaked on Rekieta?
Kurt [Uncivil Law] was in a stream with LegalBytes / Hoeg, and Kurt was quick to be like
"I know Nick's a good guy, I know it through and through, so until someone proves to me my faith in him is unfounded, I'm going to be there to defend him, period. It's total bullshit people can think they can just ban him from the internet because he says things they don't like to hear. If they don't like it, they can just ignore him."
Simple nonlawyering response of principle and character.
Bytes, immediately: [starts talking inarticulately and you can't tell what she says, as also starts,]
Hoeg, immediately: "Youtube can do whatever they want. I don't think Nick should be kicked off the platform but as far as I know he isn't kicked off the internet".
Bytes nods & smiles in agreement and such.
I think that's the vague breakdown.
Like what I think is "holy shit thanks [Hoeg&Bytes] for the youtube-video-comment-level legal discussion about Rekieta's free speech here from his
friends, nice"
only Kurt actually took a simple principled approach like one would for a friend and/or a known good actor
I guess Andrew / Legal Mindset said something like this ~2 days ago
I defended the culprits a fair bit stronger then, figuring it was just Andrew's typical hyperbole ("snakes")
I still don't ascribe to "they're snakes and Nick should just denounce them and throw them in the trash bin where they belong" but what I do know is you don't want them on the proverbial battlefield with you
oh duh I can paste the link
