Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Pit vs Porcupine; Porcupine wins.

A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection spokesman told Patch that the case is extremely rare and that "long-time New Jersey Fish & Wildlife staff could not recall any incidents like this."

Gee, it's almost as if a dog known for its exceptionally violent nature might attack a dangerous animal more vigorously than a less violent dog. This Pibble definitely fucked around and found out, to such an extent that quills were sticking into its heart. How blood crazed do you have to be that you ignore hundreds of barbs shoving themselves into your mouth and skin?

The best part is that the Pit mommy is now $20k in the red in veterinarian bills after a futile attempt to save her mutant furbaby. Life is good :story:

because he isn't pretending it didn't happen or down playing
The propaganda campaigns tricking people into thinking these are harmless "nanny dogs" results in innocent people underestimating the level of caution they need to exercise. There is no reason to have pit bulls around kids ever under any circumstances.

Tbh after watching the video I feel bad for a lot of these guys. Especially the ones saying to not get a pitbull again.

You can’t really blame them for falling for propaganda.

Well, you can. You have an obligation to your kids that means you shouldn't just be believing idiotic bullshit. But it's certainly a lower level of culpability than those who knowingly spread this bullshit.

the moms friend is defending the dogs holy fucking shit

"You don't know what happen?!"

Yes we do. Something flipped in the dogs heads and killed 2 young children and mauled another person trying to stop them.

These stories always bring to mind of that one instance where a woman had a monkey she raised since infancy that ripped her fucking face off. There are some things you shouldn't have as pets. Monkeys (and related primates) are one of them. Pit bulls are another.

The monkey didn't rip her face off, he ripped her friend's face off plus fingers. The owner was there when that happened but couldn't stop it because the chip went so nuts. The 911 call was raw.
