Betty Spires (who is in the comments) is Polissa's maternal grandmother. So Judy is Betty's sister. The aunt that is set to inherit the land with an uncle and Polissa's mother Robin is named Angela, but goes by her middle name Renee. So it is most likely Aunt Renee that would've offered the trailer.

Similar entitled person I know, literally Polly's soul sister (morbidly obese, animal hoarding, abuse, destroyed a rental with filth and hid from landlord, refuses to work) makes me almost sure Polly is making giant assumptions in this situation. My specimin pulled this crap after grandma died, insisting the house would be hers. Well, grandma had a will and it was split between her kids... like any sane person would expect. There are certainly worse things than a shed. You start with a shed, line it with insulation, put sheets of gyprock up, install a ceiling, lay some boards, and voila, it's almost a proper house. You don't even have to do all this before you move in, you can just lay some carpets over the concrete while you build up the scratch and do the upgrades one at a time. Or, my country, some people even recycle shipping containers. Start with one and gradually buy more and connect them until they've reached the preferred dwelling size.

That said, all of these require money down. And you get what you pay for. You want to turn a shed into a house, you need a well built shed, made with sound materials on a professional concrete slab. Buying a cheaply made shed means that it'll be too flimsy to modify, and trying to add interior walls will just make the thing collapse on you.

As for thinking that Polissa's family cares for her... would you honestly try to palm off that rotting shack to someone you genuinely loved? Her mother cares for her, and her grandmother, but her aunt absolutely does not. The whole situation just comes off as an attempt to either rip her off, or just distract her and get her to stop whining for a while.

I too know someone with that exact same list of adjectives except the modest but nice house was built for them in the late 90's, currently is filthy and dilapidated and is now in foreclosure for the 3rd time even after a couple of loan modifications and a monthly payment of only $666.39. I am also party to the wealthy relative's will that states "[lazy hoarder] and her descendents shall be deemed to have have predeceased me for all purposes."

That is the polite, legal way of saying "you're dead to me".

I got my KF start from the munchie thread, and this is very, very common. They spend all their time faking illnesses to avoid adult responsibilities, but when they want to do something (like drag their fake service dogs to Disney), their symptoms magically abate.

I'll predict that she'll do whatever she wants at the Ren Faire then claim she "overdid it" and will spend the next 3 months in bed, "recovering".

As far as I'm aware, she does not have a wheelchair. Though she's showed that she recently purchased a walking stick for a cane. Walker or wheelchair is next step up.

Considering how she milked her bedbound inducing hysterectomy recovery pain (that magically went away after she was offered ribs at a friend's house), I can absolutely see her doing this with the Ren Faire.
