I'm trying to remember how it all went down, someone can dopeslap and correct me if I'm wrong, but...
Back during the Depp trial DUI Guy made a meme face when something happened during trial. This went viral and there were a lot of tut tuting from people who were pissed that Depp was winning public support despite that being the "wrong" opinion, and blamed this in part on Lawyers and Media Personalities in the audience. Remember, Depp was NEVER supposed to win, the mere idea of a male domestic violence victim is supposed to be a meme, a literal paradox that cannot exist. WOMEN are the victims, men are the VICTIMIZERS, end of story. But that's not what happened and the narrative has been forever damaged.
One of the secretly-a-karen lawyers who was trying to turn "LawTube" into a thing that she would just happen to control, had a fit and tried to blacklist him from the cool kids club because he was "embarrassing the community."
Nick made a very public statement that he wasn't involved in LawTube and that it was incredibly stupid to do this sort of bitch made move.
At the same time, she has no hook for her channel, so after Depp her channel -- which had been shooting up thanks in no small part to Nick -- kinda plateaued if not sank back down.
She's been seething for months since then, up to and including causing a scene at her wedding (??) over it, and now LawTube is picking sides, Nick or the karen. Of course, there are also people trying to play both sides, or avoid taking a stance. Ultimately, She blames him for harming her channel with his public statement.
Also apparently she had the impression Nick was required to have a rotating panel of guest lawyers on his show and felt slighted he didn't let her on enough?
Oh, and there were also apparently some of his "friends" who just... didn't kick any support Nick's way after Youtube jewed him over, or outright said that Nick kinda deserved it? Which Drex called out publicly and once he had, Nick just said fuckit and went all in on calling them out, too.
I'd have to check, but I remember at a low point he was at like 3k viewers on Youtube, maybe 6k on average? The controversy and switch to Rumble has, so far, been good for his channel.
And he can't stream yet, he's blocked for another week or two. The stream that he showed people's names on is removed for "bullying and harassment" if you try and load it. So they PROBABLY removed one of his older strikes and kept the new one that Keffals and Duncan mass flagged him with. Regardless, it sounds like his plan is to just not use Youtube at all until the strikes have completely decayed, and then just use it for short form content and clips. YT is now going to be an advertisement for his Rumble streams.
