I have no fucking idea why so many groups portray children as innocent. I swear to god babies have no soul and children don't gain morals until age 8. There's even the saying children are cruel, so whwre the fuck does innocence come from when it's horse shit?

Because kids don't have same bitterness as adults, or the same experiences, expectations and will for manipulation and playing long term social games. Also adults have lots of conflicting values they have to balance out to keep things going and that means being knowingly cruel regularly. It's easier for kids to be trusting, honest and immediately helpful because they are naive and don't really think implications or long term consequences of their actions.

They do what seems like the right thing to do right now and they have lots playfulness, curiousity and excitement of new to fuel them. That naturally means that they go with their bad, selfish and shortsided impulses too but the good still shines and is nice. Kids are both nicer and meaner than adults depending on the circumstances. So adults look at kids to keep themselves grounded and not to go too far with adult pitfalls. We look up and protect that childhood innocent for adults and kids because it's good for all of us even if kids do need to grow out of it eventually.

So naturally some adults use kids and desire to protect them to manipulate other adults to do what they want.

I get what you're saying but it's more I think it's weird because Labelle fetishises kids and puts them in a weird position where they're somehow extremely wise and level headed (At least in Labelle's mind) and adults are the one's who are irrational and need to be taught a lesson from an elementary school child.

Assigned Male is the equivilent of a Facebook mom posting 'My daughter asked me why bad man Trump is in power and not Hillary, does America hate women mommy?' only it's even jarring since everyone knows Billy isn't a parent pushing a message through a child but he wants to be the child.

Another comic with kids I've seen shows kids in a more realistic light where but that's a comic aimed at parents.

it rides off of the "kids dont lie" saying, which is to say that they havent quite yet figured out the notion of not speaking their mind to protect your feelings, it doesnt mean theyre these eternally smart oracles who speak OBJECTIVE truth
the "totes smart perfect innocent child pwnes the stupid adult with his childlike wisdomz" is an age old trope, its why people use children as soapboxes in the firstplace
in order to do that, they need to be portrayed ass perfect little angels

if the kid actually behaved like a kid, him saying "we need to abolish capitalism and sieze the means of production" wouldn't hit quite so well, if it then immediately follows it up with "AND ALSO BAN ROCOOLLI YOU FREAKIN FREAKS!! EVERYONE WHO EATS IT GOES TO JAIL FOR A BILLION YEARS!!!" *kicks you in the shins*

The Stanley A. Milner Library is the main library for Edmonton Public Library. It is normally located on the southern side of Sir Winston Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton, near City Hall, Edmonton City Centre mall, the Francis Winspear Centre for Music, and the Citadel Theatre, but as the building is undergoing a major renovation, the facility has been temporarily relocated to Jasper Ave. As a central location in Edmonton, the library often takes part in various events held at Churchill Square. In 2010, the library held an outdoor book sale in the square, selling aging and duplicate materials to the public. The Stanley A. Milner Library had a number of meeting rooms and a small theater in the lower level, that were used for library programs and would also be rented out by the public. The building is directly connected to the underground pedway network and to Edmonton's LRT. A number of ETS bus routes also serve the library along Harbin Road (102 Avenue) and 100 Street. Underground parking, run by the city, is also available. In January 2017, the library closed its doors for a major renovation also called a revitalization, as all but the basic structure will be removed and is being rebuilt with an architectural design similar to that of the Art Gallery of Alberta located a few blocks away. Its services have been relocated to a space on Jasper Ave in Enterprise Square.

It really, really, REALLY boggles my mind how this beast is still able to roam around the country and gets to be around children. After literally tracing toddlers for sexual images everybody else would've been cancelled to Bikini Bottom.
This is no "there's no justiceeee"-rant. I'm just really confused how this is possible.
