What did i tell you guys about trusting a League player? i warned you bro

In other news i never expected Factorio to become the game of the month with Holostar starting the day by playing it (Tenma) and now Botan, thanks Vesper for bringing the autism to Hololive

C'mon penguin blacksmith, we know this tickles your autism...

I mainly watched the Misaki sisters last night and trying to process that so I'm working through the problem with Pippa today. Let's all remember that Pippa stated that she did not get more than a few hours of sleep, is a shut in, is a woman, and is crazy but I repeat myself. Her grasp on things can be tenuous to batshit insane at times. I think part of her worries is that she feels guilty. Look at how she has exploded.

The one that's cut off in Gen 1 is Iori who's sitting at 13.9k subs. Lia was supposed to be the face of the company and now Pippa is probably a month away from doubling her numbers. Pippa, by her own testimony, has never been a success, is an awkward mess, and has massive self image issues. I know she's talked about her concerns about leaving behind or eclipsing her genmates. I don't think there's any real tension between them all because if there was any, between the spregtastic efforts of VT and us, we sure as shit would've heard about it. Lia in her return stream I think it was actually talked about how much she admires Pippa and uses the way that Pippa has been growing her channel to help her with her school work.

There's probably more to it but at first blush I think the simplest answer to all of this is that we're just due for our biannual woman moment from our little bunny.
Not sure why we're suddenly blaming Sakana for this. Sakana didn't make her only get three hours of sleep last ni-- er, today. Sakana doesn't keep her from showering daily. Sakana isn't stopping her from taking her meds or seeing a therapist. At the end of the day she does need to take some initiative to improve her own life. Just moping and stewing in your own misery is easier, sure. I get that. But Fish isn't forcing her to do that.
To an extent, yes he is forcing her because she works for him and they do have a contract.

As for why, he's Fishman, the loveable punching bag we all can get behind bullying. However, in his defense, every single girl, yabbit included, that has spoken about Fishman have all stated that despite being a bit aloof Kevin does care about them and I have no reason to believe that any of them were pressured into saying that. That's not to say he's perfect. The selective rules are fucking insanity and are biting him in the ass, rightfully so. Another point that they've all said is that things were very rough in the beginning until Fishman hired Muumei. Muumei needs help asap. By ALL accounts she is what has held all the girls together in their first year and now her work load is doubled and at some point going to be tripled with Gen 3 and more Phase Invaders. If he doesn't take some of the burden off of her things might go tits up and ol' Chinky Dink will discover that burn out is very, very real no matter how much money you throw at it.

I don't really care much about PC or Pippa but, generally speaking, Sakana placing a 'rules for thee' on Pippa has absolutely put her in a rough, elevated position that makes her susceptible to drawing the ire from co-workers even if that never actually materialises.

Wanting to move your company image away in a direction that becomes incompatible with your two most popular members, and 'solving' that by actively punishing other members while protecting her is entirely Sakana's problem. Open discrimination between employees is not good.

I also think that this has been on her mind for a while, and she's talking about it now because she watched (and commented on) FalseEyeD's video about Nina Kosaka expressing similar connection issues between her and Ethyria when they started out.

The alternatives are letting everyone be le baste shitposters and have PC be le baste shitposter company and all the problems for them that would go along with that, or muzzle Pippa. I guess a good compromise makes everyone unhappy, but who wants to see either of the alternatives?
Fundamentally I just can't agree that moving away from an established audience in favour of potentially hitting the mass-market is a smart move right now. The industry isn't going through the boom it saw in the past 2 years anymore, while I wouldn't describe it as a bubble bursting the audience numbers for vtubing is definitely shedding the fat and shrinking across the board. Now is a time for doubling down on core audience security or at least not provoking them unnecessarily.

Then you can get into cans of worms like selective enforcement of rules for talents depending on how successful they are setting a horrific precedent going forward, or that as a niche company successfully targeting a niche audience they don't actually need to care about detractors so long as they aren't fucking with their ability to cash fans' cheques, and it feels like Fishman has created a lot of controversy and stress for himself/his talents that never needed to happen.

Yeah, the whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If they had no intention of keeping them around long-term then why not have them graduate on a high-note when they reached the needed 10k. Instead they seemed to have randomly just went, "yeah, okay, go away now."

Wonder if it had anything to do with the developer of the game, Overdrive.
OVERDRIVE went defunct on April 30th and were replaced by a youtube channel. Which also seems to have vtubers from their games, bizzare.

Local red man is suffering with the most asstwat language in this side of the imperium because DuoLingo love to slam neutral spanish with regional one ( you should NEVER learn neutral is dumb and you sound like a dumbass)

Devil's advocate for fishman's actions.

One possibility is he may be pushing really hard for PC to be in a better position because the signs of a massive global depression coming are manifesting, smaller vtubers and corpos would be one of the first past times to get the axe from the average person. Even the video games industry which was considered recession proof is now backsliding in sales and profits for the first time in decades.
Everything is pointing to a really bad economic time soon, most likely the big two corpos will survive after downsizing but most of the small corpos as it stands probably won't.
