Well, we know there's more charges expected. So depending on those he could easily be fucked over; Realistically he won't ever see actual justice, as not even pedos do.. Which in my opinion is inflicting identical cruelty or just killing the absolute wastes of space.
The current charge could bring some pretty good penalties, all things considered. I am imagining it's possible he'll end up with several aggravated cruelty charges because of how obsessed he is not only with being a degenerate, but being proud of the fact and boasting a huge ego concerning it.

(ii) seems like a no brainer especially with how involved and concerned his community was. I think at the minimum, prohibiting him from owning animals legally is a realistic expectation. If he somehow does not at least get that as punishment, I think a lot of people are going to be real pissed and kick up some dirt locally.

For all the people unfamiliar with the Justice System, jail is before sentencing (where Chris is), prison is once you’re sentenced (where Nick Bate is). Sean never was in either. He was booked in jail and made bail. He most likely was never even in a cell and a bail bondsman paid for all $1500 using a car title or something of the sort as collateral.

While I do not doubt that he will get out of this mostly unscathed from a legal standpoint (face it, animal cruelty and beastiality are simply not considered major crimes in most of the world), his tempering with evidence is another story. Although, still, I don't think they will bother to press charges on this unless there is some sentiment for them to do so.

If he receives jailtime, which might not be likely, I think he'll probably be sent to Brockbridge Correctional Facility in Jessup. It's minimum security and the closest state facility nearby.

This was my thinking too. He was released on a $1500 bond, which is a pretty low amount. Usually bonds that low are only given when there’s not much chance of actually being given any time on the charges. I don’t know what the bail bond laws of his state are but if he used a bondsman there’s a chance he was released after paying 1/10 of that bond, which is just $150. This is not the justice people were hoping for and all these people crowing triumphantly don’t seem to understand that.

I don't know, I think @A Cardboard Box's theory about that just being bail bond reform makes decent sense.

In the news article, it sounds like they've got some decent circumstantial evidence:

Kraese’ cellphone was recovered during the search warrant, and a separate search was authorized and obtained to conduct a forensic download of the phone.

Detectives located a video on the phone dated March 24, 2022 which showed Kraese manually simulating his dogs aroused penis with his hand until the dog ejacuated. The defendants face is not seen in the video, however, police matched crime scene photos to the residences distinctive flooring and furniture along with the same watch Kraese was wearing.
Several hours after the search warrants were executed, Kraese then attempted to delete the video after sharing it on a third party messaging app. Police were able to recover and download the video and conversation. During the conversation, Kraese sent the undisclosed subject the video from above and offered to allow him to have sex with his dog, additionally,
An additional photo was located on the defendants cell phone which is taken of novelty dog tags that say “Twitters Most Infamous Zoophile”. Along with other photographs and conversations indicating Kraese was routinely engaging in sexual activity with a numerous species of animals.

Additional charges are expected to be submitted following numerous ongoing investigations and from the above search warrant.

Like it's not proof positive, but it's pretty damn close. And this is out in rural, red Maryland. Not, say, MoCo.

If they arrested him for this and announced details of it to the press, I think that signals intention to go hard on him. I think they could persuade a jury if he wanted to chance that.

And there's no lighter charge he could plea this down to. Sex with animals is automatically a felony in Maryland. If you hit an animal, that could maybe be misdemeanor animal cruelty, but sex is always aggravated.

You could say I'm being a little optimistic here, and that's fair to say. Especially watching Kero give everyone the slip. But I think this case is decently stronger than his.
