Coming here to mention yesterday I was watching a video by the channel Nyx Fears (I'm not subbed to them, it was some video recced to me called the NSFL iceberg or something) and when they mentioned Jonestown, in the SAME sentence they mentioned how they sampled it for their album Dead Neopets??? I know music artists can sample weird shit, but something about that makes them seem really desensitized

It sort of reminds me that I was watching Disaster Breakdown's latest video and I quite enjoy his content. He covers airplane and train disasters. I believe he has been mentioned one or two times in this thread.

I go down to the comments because his latest video was about pilots snorting coke and everyone called him Chloe. So I go to Twitter and found out it's a troon.

That was quite the shock because there's zero hint of it at all.

With that said, I might still continue to watch his videos because there's no trace of trannyism in them and I do enjoy them still.

I can look past what dumb shit gets posted on Twitter if it bears no relation to the content itself.

The second we get trannyism in the content however, I'm outta there. Nyx is a good example as to why that shit is annoying and unwelcome.

I watched this - I'll give her credit for repeatedly saying "don't worry about this, it's a bonus" instead of people who pretend that the Patreon is some magical place with tons of extra footage (Internet Investigator, etc).

It was not exactly a great video - the iceberg thing's a bit dead and at one point she had to act like Mortal Kombat games were scary because they were on the iceberg list. Probably for the best to focus on the lost stuff like she does, those are usually her best work.

Why are people so scared of blood and gore, if it were real then that's completely understandable, but gore and blood in games I don't understand. IDK maybe i'm desensitized from all the vidya and slasher films

Probably not that many because like vegans, troons will let you know. They need that attention. If a YouTuber is a trans and manages to keep that out of their content long-term then fair play to them, they're professional and probably a somewhat normal human being.

Which is a shame since he was one of the few people that actually put some effort in the making of his tops. He even made some source film maker clips for his creepypasta tops (which admittedly the way he introduced the stories in his tops were miles better than the actual ones.)

So I gave that Wendigoon story a shot and... at least the artwork is nice. I don't get why he called Junji Ito "the master of horror though. He really just is another run of the mill manga artist, "great and creative artist, autistic writer".

It makes me lowkey scared that Disaster Breakdown is gonna fall down that route of "Look at me I'm so trans". He's already unbearable on Twitter but idgaf about Twitter as long as it doesn't bleed into everything else

At best, we get "I've been busy/ill with a cough" or "Working on the next video" at the end of each upload. So he's not even talking about himself, his fans do it for him in the comments at worst.

I swear to god, if he talks about the tranny street or bitches out about "IStandWithUkraine" or other unrelated bullshit, I'll be so disappointed.

I find Hannah the Horrible to be incredibly annoying personally. I hate how she acts all grossed out and censors stuff constantly. Especially in her latest video when referencing school shooters— just say the names. It’s so middle school to cringe on camera and act distressed while covering uncomfortable topics. If they really bother Hannah that much she needs to find a different genre of videos to make.

Just over all cannot stand female true crime YouTubers most of them are obnoxious and unwatchable.

Just over all cannot stand female true crime YouTubers most of them are obnoxious and unwatchable.

The second I hear a female voice-over in a true crime/horror video, I click off — mostly for the reasons you attribute to this Hannah chick. Very, very rarely can I stand them.

I don't fully understand the psychology behind it. In general, I think female voices are irriating to listen to in longer formats. The "research" they bring to the table always seems subpar too. Bear in mind, I'm a woman myself. I wasn't able to say these things on Reddit (circa 2016) without being getting alive and being accused of having internalized misogyny.

I love Kiana Dougherty's videos, but she covers the evils of the food industry and the deathfats resulting from it. A completely different genre. Kiana may not be a horrortuber (in the traditional sense) but she's so passionate and educated on those subjects that you really do take something away from her videos. She's literally the only female YouTuber I like right now. Even the more tolerated women YouTubers like "Ask a Mortician" annoy me so bad with their cartoony, over-the-top presentation that I can't watch their stuff.

I think it's because, more often than not, they try to make their "personality" and/or look part of the content? Where as men tend to be more dry and informative. You get a sense from female-tubers that they want you to like them first and foremost while the content comes in second. There aren't attention-seeking ulterior motives with a lot of guys' channels… and when there is, it is just as tiresome and obnoxious to me as when the girls do it.

Also, so few women are genuinely funny, witty, or clever. If they think they're funny, they're usually just aggressive cunts who have to reassert how funny they are every other minute. The whole: "guys are rude so it'll be funny if I'm rude too" line of thinking. There's no grace. It's forced. It all circles back to the obligatory attention-whoring that's practically a staple of women-led videos.

Only female youtuber I enjoy and like getting videos from is Izzyzz but she covers internet and nostalgic topics not horror. Internet Investigator is okayish but if someone better covered the stuff she did I wouldn’t watch her videos anymore.

At first I saw him as a mediocre youtuber. Lately I’ve been watching more of his videos and I like most of them. The ones I don’t enjoy as much are the ones that are about TRUE AND HONEST SP00KY HORROR STORIES FROM REDDIT. They’re all obvious Reddit larps. Very rarely do I hear a Reddit story that actually unnerves me or one that I believe is true. The dashcam/doorbell cam videos are pretty good though.

There’s a cool channel that I forgot about until he posted a few days ago called Maverick Files. He has some pretty decent stories about creepy 4chan stuff and other creepy Internet topics.

At his high point he's very binge-worthy as background noise provided he's only telling stories about human traffickers, schizos and other real-world fears. I really like the craigslist one where a dude has an old guy show up for a table, pull a gun on the seller and gets discovered by police hiding in the pantry.

At his low point he's a reddit slop buffet filled with poison food. Blindly reading terribly conceived, awfully written works of an autistic 12 year old. Worst comes to mind is from the "real beach stories" where some retard OP claims he saw the Orphan Of Kos standing in 25 foot deep water one night.
