Crime Horror Video Lays Bare How Crime-Ridden Minneapolis Has Become - Sounds like it's time for them to just...*take the knee*.

Saturday Night, Minneapolis-style:

• Video posted online shows the chaos outside the Gay 90s bar in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday night.

• One man was assaulted in the street and a wild fight broke out between a group of girls outside the bar.

• When police tried to break up the fight, the women cursed out the police horse.

• The city has been reeling from a crime wave since George Floyd was murdered in May 2020, with riots common throughout the city.

• Eventually, city council officials relented and decided to defund $1.1million from the Minneapolis Police Department.

• Residents are now taking matters into their own hands.

Shocking video posted online lays bare just how crime-ridden downtown Democrat-led Minneapolis has become, with a police horse harassed and sworn at, people brawling, and illegal street races happening near where rowdy women twerked on top of cars.

Video posted online shows the chaotic scene [A] unfold outside The Gay 90s bar on Saturday night where girls were filmed twerking on top of cars and yelling at a police horse as an officer tried to break up a fight involving a group of men.

It comes as crime in the city surges 15.9 percent in the wake of George Floyd's murder and the Defund the Police movement, which has seen city officials strip $1.1 million from the Minneapolis Police Department budget.

In the video, officers can be heard telling the women to "get out, keep moving" after a fight broke out in front of the bar, but the group remained defiant, yelling at the police officers on horseback.

At one point, one of the girls tries to pet the officer's steed, at which point he yells: "Don't touch my horse."

In response, one of the girls could be heard screaming back: "F*** your horse b****."

Another scene shows women cursing out a police horse after officers tried to dissemble a fight. The altercation came amid other scenes of debauchery outside the bar Saturday night, with one man clearly being assaulted as the shocking footage begins.

A group of men could be seen kicking the victim, who was already in the fetal position on the ground, until he rolls into the street.

The victim then tries to get up, but is then kicked in the head by one of his attackers.

He can then be seen trying to crawl away before the film cuts to EMS crews carrying an assault victim on a stretcher and lifting him into an ambulance.

Other clips showed women yelling, pushing and punching each other outside the bar before the police showed up, as well as some women twerking on top of a car that was blocking traffic.

"It's been some time since I went downtown at night given the crime and shootings," Brannon tweeted Sunday, adding that she "saw a lot ore chaos than I expected, especially given how cold it was."

Brannon said 'police were scarce' throughout the night, and the 'situation felt volatile' so she tried to keep her distance.

"It was also completely chaotic outside the Gay 90s; there have been multiple shootings near there in the last few months alone."

The video comes as crime in the city continues to spiral out of control in the wake of the Defund the Police movement.

Minneapolis was at the center of those protests after the murder of George Floyd by cop Derek Chauvin in May 2020.

Motor vehicle thefts in the city are now up 38.4 percent when compared to the same time last year, while larcenies are up 24.8 percent.

Property crimes are also up 14.8 percent over last year, with assaults up 8.8 percent.

Overall, crime in the city is up a whopping 15.9 percent over last year.

And over the last year, CNN [A] reports, 93 people were shot in the city — just shy of the total killings in 1995 when the city earned the nickname Murderapolis.

It now ranks 19th out of 70 jurisdiction in per-capita murders this year.

Meanwhile, its clearance rate for homicide cases has been shrinking since 2016, when around 54 percent of the cases were solved.

By 2020, that number fell to just 38 percent.

Crime has been spiraling out of control in Minneapolis since it became the epicenter of the Defund the Police movement.

Experts say the rise in crime began in the aftermath of George Floyd's death in May 2020, after which the city became the epicenter for the Defund the Police Movement.

Fiery riots broke out throughout Minneapolis, with protesters demanding justice for Floyd and calling for an end to the Minneapolis Police Department.

Eventually, City Council officials relented and pledged to "end policing as we know it" in July 2020.

The council cut $1.1 million from the city's policing budget with plans to reallocate the money to the city health department to fund civilian violence interrupters who would mediate conflicts.

Soon after, residents say, police began to withdraw from the more dangerous neighborhoods.

"The criminals were celebrating," said KG Wilson, a longtime resident. "They were getting rich. They were selling drugs openly."

Following the death of George Floyd in May 2020, protesters called for an end to the Minneapolis Police Department. A protester is seen here standing in front of a burning building at one of the riots.

Eventually, City Council officials gave in to the protesters and pledged to 'end policing as we know it' in July 2020. Protesters are seen here holding up their fists as flams rise behind them in front of the Third Police Precinct.

At the same time, Minneapolis police saw a large cop exodus in the last two years due to retirements, resignations and disability leaves following Floyd's death.

Its council voted to disband the police department, although they have since walked plans to do so.

Leaders at the police department say that the number of officers shrank in the city from 900 in early 2020 to about 560 in August of this year — a loss of more than one-third of the police force.

As a result, the average 911 response time jumped in May 2020 from around 10 to 11 minutes earlier that year to around 14 minutes.

It kept rising in 2021 to 16 minutes, CNN reports, with response times in the city's crime-ridden north side surpassing 17 minutes.

Some nights are now so busy that dispatchers are told to hold all non-priority-1 calls citywide, including reports of property damage, suspicious persons or theft.

And in some cases, the Minneapolis Police Department has even refused to respond to certain crimes in a timely manner — in part due to the limited staff and also due to low morale.

"It's no secret that law enforcement, especially in the last two and a half years has been badly vilified and wrongly vilified," said Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith of the National Police Association.

"You can't just call an entire profession racist and expect people to just sit back and say, 'Ok, you know, keep piling on.'"

Wealthy residents crowdfunded $210,000 to pay the city's police department for extra patrols amid skyrocketing crime in the Lowry Hill neighborhood.

Now, residents are trying to take back their city.

When a referendum to defund the police and replace it with a new "public health-oriented" Department of Public Safety came up for a vote in November 2021, 56 percent of voters rejected the measure.

That figure was even higher in north Minneapolis, a predominantly black area, where about 60 percent of police calls for shots fired this year came from.

Wealthy residents also crowdfunded $210,000 to pay the city's police department for extra patrols amid skyrocketing crime in the Lowry Hill neighborhood.

The Minneapolis Safety Initiative, a resident-created nonprofit crowdfunding for additional police patrols, calls the program a "temporary measure to address the current crime wave while MPD continues to rebuild to full staffing levels."

Residents are encouraged to donate $220 monthly, for six months, in order for the initiative to have its 'desired impact.'

Meanwhile, eight residents of the north side even filed a lawsuit in the summer of 2020, calling on the city to fill vacant positions at the police department.

The suit singled out city council members who supported the "radical 'dismantle the police'" idea, and accused them and Mayor Jacob Frey of creating a "hostile" environment for police.

It was largely upheld by a state Supreme Court decision this summer — meaning the city now needs to staff up to at least 731 officers.

For some reason, I'm strongly reminded of a certain tweet...

I'm not sure why they want to hire cops again, anyway. Are the social workers not quite working out as promised? I know they rejected the original bill, but surely it just requires some tweaking to fit the needs for the good people in Murderapolis to accept it. It's what Saint Floyd would've wanted, right? 🙏

How's the public policing project working out? Pretty good it doesn't seem.

210K is a pretty paltry sum for a large city such as Minneapolis when you consider the millions of dollars that police districts with a population/size comparable to Minneapolis go through (training, maintenance of vehicles/gear, salary, etc.). The wealthy would probably be better off leaving the MSP area altogether instead of crowdfunding or hiring personal security for their gated homes.

MSP made their bed, now they get to lie in it.

Where there is no order there is chaos. Even if a police force has "bad apples", you can't just throw the baby out with the bathwater and be surprised by the consequences that come afterwards.
So when do we get people trying to create a CHAZ style "country" in downtown Minneapolis? Warlords and all. Anarchy can't last forever.

I wonder why Minneapolis has become so prone to criminality? Could this cultural shift be related to the areas demographic changes?

Lets take a look at the demographic makeup of Minneapolis over the years:

1950
- 98.4% White
- 1.6% other

1990
- 77.5% White
- 13% Black
- 2.1% Hispanic
- 4.3% Asian
- 3.1% other

2020
- 58.1% White
- 18.9% Black
- 10.4% Hispanic
- 5.8% Asian
- 5.2% Mixed Heritage
- 1.2% American Indian
- 0.4% other

I fixed this post to have less racism in it.

I think the social workers quit working because that was too much for them and they got PTSD. At this rate Minneapolis will be worse than Detroit.
"Quit" would imply they ever actually tried to begin with. As far as I know, nowhere in the US has actually managed to pass anything that would actually "replace" the police with social workers, and even if they did those social workers would just quit and move anyway.

Which is fine and exactly how it should be, because anyone that thinks a social worker is equipped, trained, or even paid enough to handle general violent crime or robbery is dumber than cork. You could be the best social worker in your state, but you're not gonna "de-escalate" a drive-by.

(Sorry, mostly venting :feels: )

Expecting women to fix men's problems, a tale as old as time.

I'd like to think this sort of thing is way, way more common in all cities now. Even back 10 years ago, there was an incident at a college town McDonald's that was basically completely covered up by the press. (This is a post I made pre-hack and I'm trying to put it back together best I could).

The McDonald's was located in the Northgate area of College Station, Texas, just across the street from Texas A&M University and during the daytime was considered generally safe, as it and a number of other restaurants (Taco Bell, Chipotle, Subway, etc.) were all in the area and extremely profitable from foot traffic alone.

But at night, things were different, and in 2012, some white college students were killed by a mob of 15-20 people in the parking lot. Allegedly, McDonald's claimed to be off the hook because they died in a car accident en route to the hospital, but some autopsies and witness reports claim that they were already dead. McDonald's was later sued for $27 million. Most of the incident was obfuscated but this American Thinker article goes into more detail, and indeed, that's what court transcripts seem to suggest.

I can't find a full court transcript or detail, but I did find this article with closing statements in the appeals court. Let's take a look at some choice bits, shall we?

Main attacker confirmed to be black, confirms that it was started over an alleged gamer word drop, and confirms that McDonald's may have helped cover it up:
Marcus Jones. They want you to blame Marcus Jones. Blame Marcus Jones for the whole thing. Blame the whole thing, why did you hire him. You hired him three months ago. Gave him a pay check at the time -- the date of his deposition on Thursday, July 17th, they gave him a paycheck that said McDonald's Corporation. That's the testimony. How do you end up employed by McDonald's Corporation? Then he comes in with this new thing, they get him to drop the "N" word, trying to suggest to you with no evidence that one of these two kids was responsible because they said the "N" word.

Then he comes back in and says, "I can't say it was one of them." So he's on their payroll. In all the things I heard in this case there's nothing that gets me more than that this guy is on their payroll, comes in here with this kid's death, nobody can say did a darn thing wrong. They want to go to the restroom, or come in and suggest somebody said the "N" word. Where's the evidence of that? Then he backs off of it, says, "Well, I don't who said it." Why did you even interject that? She says, "I heard Marcus Jones said he was going to start the fight." I mean, Tanner Giesen said, "I heard Marcus Jones was looking to start a fight." That's the evidence.

Black dude throws the first punch
"I walked to Andre and that's when it -- well, that's when I heard all that yelling, but Andre was in the mix, like, he was in -- over there yelling and going back and forth, and I walked over to tell him, "Let's go," and when I was over there, I heard somebody say, "You want something, too, Nigga," and that's how it all started, the whole fighting, and that's -- I remember me and a dude fought, and I did take the first swing. "You took the first swing? "Yeah."

They go to the Golden Arches. They get in the parking lot at McDonald's. What happened there? Ms. Bean testified -- and I heard her say the parking lot looked dangerous, people there looked thuggish. That's what she said.

McDonald's lawyer blames a nearby bar. He brings up drinking and driving, but at most they drove through the parking lot, the bar is only 800 feet away.
What about Harry's? Who's talking about them? Who's outraged over that? Focus on the Golden Arches. The Golden Arches. After that they leave the club, right? Who drives from the club, Hurricane Harry's to McDonald's? Not the first place they didn't follow the rule that you don't drink and drive. Went from Harry's to McDonald's.

More stuff from the lawyer, if you knew the area this is bullshit. Besides the idea that it WOULD be quicker to go to the hospital instead of going to another area and calling the police, they never even made as far as the library and the high school, besides, these are out of the way. (The other high school is even farther down).
What about at the various stoplights, they stop at all the red lights they stop at, how about that. How about you get out and say, "Can you get some people, my friend is hurt." How about the numerous places along the way that you can stop, places that are open 24 hours a day? What about places that just have big parking lots, Ringer's Library, go to the College Station High School, go to Consolidated, wherever, stop somewhere, call 9-1-1 if you're so concerned about your friend that he's hurt. When did this concern arise?

Black women tell them that the place is unsafe.

The evidence was that she was below
the legal limit. They told her -- I won't have time
to play it. You remember the testimony of these
witnesses saying she said they weren't safe here.
Remember the three African-American females, "Get
out of here, you're not safe here."

Autopsies and photographic evidence suggests he was already dead from the mob, not from the car hitting a pole.
Now, I want to turn to the issue of
the cause of death of Denton Ward. Dr. Dolinak did
the best job he could. But here's the one fact that
you need to know with Dr. Dolinak. All the experts
agree there was a blunt force trauma. Everybody
except Dr. Corrigan. Dr. Dolinak said he believed
that Denton Ward's head hit the pole. That was what
he believed. That's what he testified to.
And all of the experts agree that
that was not correct. That was not a correct fact.
It's not Dr. Dolinak's fault. These are the facts.
They don't contend that Denton Ward hit the pole.
No one has explained where all that blood came from.
Dr. Dolinak explained that he didn't have all of the
facts.
To say that this kid just had a
broken nose and maybe didn't need medical treatment,
I don't think there was a lawyer that can stand up
and say that. He just didn't know what the -- at
the time he did that -- and you could hear him on

the phone call with the Detective Cooper saying
that -- I'm having a difficult time. And it's hard
without a better account of the assault. But we
just go with what we have. That's what he said.
But the real thing that ends this
is forensic evidence of the amount of blood. You
think somebody that has that much blood, that's
3 inches up the carpet, doesn't need to go to the
hospital.
I mean, we've all seen people with
a bloody nose. You can use your common experience
on that. I've seen a lot of blood from a bloody
nose. Fill up 3 inches of carpet in the backseat of
the car?
Dr. Dolinak said you have blood in
his lungs. He couldn't get the skull fracture plus
the broken jaw or just the broken nose and lungs
full of blood and carpet full of blood. Blood
everywhere. That's what the witnesses said. No
more likely than -- more likely than not, that's the
standard.
I think the evidence is, is that
Denton Ward had fatal injuries from what happened at
McDonald's. He had a fractured skull. There's only
one explanation that's consistent with the evidence.

And that's that he received a kick to the jaw that
drove the bones of the jaw up into the base of the
skull, caused the fracture exactly where they
occurred, hyperextended the neck and caused those
other injuries. That's the only explanation that's
consistent with this.
If it's to the top of the head, how
does he get the broken jaw. He has a broken jaw, a
broken base of the skull and all of the medical
experts agreed that the blow can occur when you get
hit right here driving these bones into the skull
and twisting the head back and causing those other
injuries to the brain stem.
That's what the article that
Corrigan read from said. That's what the medical
article -- that's the hyperextension injury. Here's
what you have to do. Dr. Dolinak did say he
believed some of his head hit the pole, that's what
killed him. We know that being true, Dolinak had
one photo that showed his head near the pole but the
other photo you saw where his head was a foot away
from the pole.
Every single expert said his head
never touched the pole. They said that very
clearly. His head never touched the pole.

....

So there you have it. Why am I telling you all this? In 2012, a group of black teenagers murdered two unarmed white people at a McDonald's and was the biggest story you never heard of. If the races were reversed, you'd never hear the end of it. And that's 10 years ago, AND in a place where the county still votes red! In Current Year in a blue city, what are the odds that this sort of thing in the OP happens on a regular basis?

Residents are now taking matters into their own hands.
I do not want to see such claims unless there's a reckoning with death-squads laying siege to other neighborhoods.

In response, one of the girls could be heard screaming back: "F*** your horse b****."
You do not talk to one of God's most majestic creations like that... against the wall you go.
