Serious question: Do game companies usually pull their products from the market while working on an upgrade? Seems like Flynt/Wu would want his company's only game to be generating income.

Best answer I've heard is that is was an embarrassment to have it out there with low sale numbers.

Possibly it will no longer run on the lowest-end hardware they supported previously, and this way they don't have to explicitly end support for that. They remove the old version and put up the new version with stricter system requirements.

Wu is a nobody who thinks she's too important to use channels of communication established specifically to allow the most efficient handling of her issues.
