I like true crime. I don’t like the creepy loser assholes who murder people. Yes, “hybristophilia” is real and you should seek treatment for it before you become some Paul Bernardo’s bitch. The only people who deserve love and empathy in the true crime world are the survivors, the families of victims, and the law enforcement people who caught them. One of my favorite true crime things is how Dick Ramirez was caught by a bunch of California citizens who had had enough of his shit and beat him up. Cancer was too good for him and I wish he’d been slaughtered in prison like Dahmer was.

Speaking of, Jeffy ignored his intrusive violent thoughts for years instead of getting help, and look where it got him. I don’t think Yarrow is capable of anything major, but anyone who has violent thoughts and impulses they can’t control must seek help. As someone who has been a lifelong follower of true crime, I will say that I am noticing far more people calling out the romanticization of killers these days than in the past. Dressing your kid as a cannibal monster is not cute. It's not eDgY. Want to give your kid an edgy killer costume? Pick Buffalo Bill, Hannibal Lector or any number of fake ones (still cringe but at least you're not triggering the families of victims with your kid's "omg lil Jeffy D" costume).
