Boogie claimed to his Whatnot audience that their money from his auctions was going to his tickets (which he had already bought). On his last livestream from a few days ago, he claimed that the flight was free because he used airline miles for it and his hotel was mostly free because of loyalty points.

He claimed that the only cost would be a budget of $500 he had set himself for ubers back and forth and for food. Dude made over $3000 on Whatnot across 3 days.

So, what we going with guys? I think there are three options:

1. He was never intending to go and this was all a long con to grift the people on Whatnot (MTG fans) out of more money by claiming he needed their money for Magic 30.
2. He is still going but is just doing this to get ass pats for being selfless and when enough people (note: 1 person) tells him it's okay, he'll say: "Guys, I was prepared to not go. Like, I know, I took all the necessary steps to make it as cheap as possible, but I didn't want to do that after you guys helped me so much... but then you guys told me you wanted to see me there, so how could I say no?"
3. Due to his numerous previous issues with Wizards of the Coast, he was "politely" told he wasn't welcome.

I'm leaning towards 2, I think 3 is the least likely one since he'd probably have talked about it for attention but at the same time, on his last livestream he did randomly rant about how shift Magic was nowadays and he was selling his cards because he didn't really care about the hobby anymore (as he buys 13 copies of each new set that comes out still).

What airline lets you cancel without penalties? Usually you only have 24 hours to cancel.

I also had zero options to cancel a hotel I booked for a work trip recently. I find it interesting Boogie was able to just cancel without any issues, even if he used "rewards" and "points"

To add to this, I see the Magic site states their tickets are non-refundable. So Boogie, struggling to make ends meet is just throwing away money?
