Some thoughts.
1. The way Chantal is deliberately lying about everything all the time is making her a lot less interesting to me. It was funny to catch her in a lie. What she's doing now - deliberately giving multiple, conflicting answers to throw people off is tiresome. She paid $3600, no it was $500, but she got it back, oh wait, no she didn't. Honestly, when I can't follow the narrative, I stop caring.
2. This situation with Salah is one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen unfold in real time. She is rushing to Kuwait like they're having a Black Friday sale on young single guys and she needs to get there before they run out of stock.
This is a woman who has said she has to be the boss in a relationship, that she has to have her way and be the winner in the relationship, that she is easily bored and has cheated in both of her long term relationships, and that she is exhausted by the idea of making a man happy. She is so focused on locking this guy down. It is wild to me that it hasn't occurred to her that SHE might become dissattisfied and want to walk away from this situation.
3. I watched this video over the weekend,
"I Fell For A Love Scam: How They Made It Seem So Real." In it the victim describes a combo romance/investment scam where the "boyfriend" fed her a line of well-practiced bull, convinced her they were in love, and then eased her into the other part of the scam, investing increasingly larger amounts of money in crypto. They call it a "pig butchering scheme."
He started her out very small (<$100) and said he'd invest too and they'd do it together. The first few investments gave her a positive return that she was able to cash out. That built her confidence, so she invested more and more. Then the platform said she could borrow from them at 0% interest, invest her borrowings, and make even more money. Greed got the best of her and she fell right into the trap. She borrowed $30k, invested it, and when she tried to repay the loan from her crypto earnings, the platform said no. They said she had to repay the $30k our of her own pocket and they would not release ANY of her cumulative earnings until she did so. Needless to say, she didn't have $30k. When she balked, they said she had to pay $10k or they would freeze her account permanently and she would NEVER get any of her money. Thus, she began making payments.
This is exactly the kind of thing Chantal would fall for. It's a new income stream, and allows her to say truthfully that Salah never asked her for money. It also wouldn't be hard to convince her that it needs to be kept secret, because if too many people get in on it, it will ruin it for everyone.
