Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

I truly hate these narcissists.

Yeah, they're pissed at Taylor, but they're holding back WAY more than they would if this was just about anyone else. I would say partially because the few who've spoken up have gotten flooded by stans, but I'd say it's almost equally because whenever their nonsense goes mainstream, they get a quick reality check that oh yeah, pretty much the entire world is "fatphobic" under their definition. That definition being "I don't think being fat is healthy and I try to not let myself get fat."

Just going to link a couple because it's more the replies and how they're getting piled on that's interesting, imo.

"Idc if it was just TS’ ‘worst nightmares’ or her ‘intrusive thoughts’, it’s fatphobic and was at best deeply unnecessary to have in the fucking video."

"Having an eating disorder doesn’t excuse fatphobia."

And how the people who don't live in an FA bubble are reacting:

"if you have a problem with taylor depicting her own eating disorders and body dysmorphia in a video about how much she hates herself might i suggest realizing that not everything is about you."

Claims her skin is so sensitive that it breaks out the second she uses a scented soap, THEN she does an entire skincare routine over her makeup and goes to bed with it because she needs lashes to "facetime her boo at night".

This just reminded me of how she doesn't use deodorant either, she must be an absolute olfactive joy to be around.

I don't like Taylor Swift or pay attention to her, but even I know she's had a very public battle with an eating disorder and again, deathfats are wanting to gatekeep the usage of the word 'fat'. They claim it has nothing to do with her exploring her emotions about her eating disorder, but her using the word 'fat' is what is getting their tarp sized undies in a giant twist. If nobody is allowed to gatekeep how deathfats talk about their made up 'restrictive eating disorders', they don't get to gatekeep anybody elses. Rules for thee, not for me bullshit.

They're also fos, because I guarantee if the video was just her standing on a scale and looking sad, with no "FAT" mention anywhere, they'd STILL be upset at her daring to suggest that she has insecurities about her weight.

It's funny watching them think they can bully her into editing her video with 14 million views. I guess NOW "fat" is a slur, after years of them insisting there should be no negativity attached to it and that they've "reclaimed" it.

Evie is whining some more. And she doesnt seem worried at all that she CAN'T BREATHE if the heat goes up...

It's outrageous that Evie is crowdsourcing thousands upon thousands of dollars to renovate a home that she very possibly will never see again. She acts as though she's going to be gallivanting up and down her $5000 ramp and around her newly remodeled home like some chubby yet saucy badass boss bitch woman-about-town main character. If she's lucky enough to even make it home, she's going to be rotting in a bariatric hospital bed in the living room, eagerly awaiting her next wiping from an underpaid and surly home health peon.

If she makes it out of the hospital, which is only possible because she's still young and is fortunate to live in the developed world and have access to medical interventions others can only dream of, she'll be discharged to a long-term care facility for inpatient "rehab". She's staring down the barrel of a Tamtam Slaton situation and appears unaware, behaving instead like she's on Extreme Home Makeover: Fat and Sassy Edition.

Bitch is dying and she's too stupid to get it. Girl, how about you work on sitting up and breathing independently before we start planning to completely gut your house?

"I understand having an eating disorder..."

No, you don't.

"This isn't me trying to... dismiss her experience with her eating disorder..."

Except that's exactly what you are doing. From what I understand the scene was about Taylor's own harsh criticism of herself. This has nothing to do with you or your feelings. The message was "don't be so hateful to yourself" not "all fat people are bad and if you're fat you're worthless."

Also, just a few weeks ago FA types were whining about thin women lip synching to a song about growing up as the fat kid.
So thin women can't try to relate to your struggles, because that's offensive to you. But they also can't express their own struggles, because that also offends you.
I swear to God these bitches need to pull their heads out of their gargantuan asses.

Not MATI but exasperated beyond belief at the bullshit at this point. BoPo/HAES/Morbidly obese types? Get over yourselves. The only 'unique' thing about you is the rationalizations you use as an excuse to scarf down copious quantities of food. We live in an increasingly fat world & sizing of clothing, furniture & other significant items reflect that. If you've sized out of those, you don't need 'compassion' - barring a genuine medical issue which impedes weight loss, you need self-discipline & a proper understanding of how calories work.

Stretch marks are not rank stripes or badges of honor - many of us have them. What does cute underwear have to do with your corpulence, other than maybe an inability to find such items in appropriate sizes? And hint: 'cute' clothing stops being cute when stretched over a lumpen, mis-shapen form.

'Body neutrality'... not a freaking clue what this buzz phrase means but I'll interpret it to mean I don't give a rat's ass about anybody's body but my own & no matter my size, if I'm unhappy about some aspect of my body I can either work to change it or suck it up if it's something I can do nothing about. It's a silly thing to waste hate over. I don't expect anybody to "hate" their body & following sensible practices to improve one's health implies a respect for oneself rather than anything negative... in most cases.

Intuitive eating.... if it worked the way HAES folks claim, far fewer would be morbidly obese. If intuitive eating works for you - outstanding. If not, don't force yourself into a mold that doesn't help your overall state of health.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone BUT the aforementioned types promote obesity. Thankfully, sensible people are free to ignore such nonsense.

And Bekah, like so many other obese people, is confusing "not turned on" or not finding attractive fat bodies, with fear.

It's just another example of taking a non-issue & overly dramatizing it to feel important or to try & force the rest of 'society' to do things the way THEY see fit. Unless the rock I've been living under is larger than I thought, there is no overall 'society' carrying pitchforks to their regular Tuesday night "Let's Oppress & Kill Fat People" meetings. Of course, there is no shortage of rude individuals who are going to offer unsolicited advice or make snotty comments but 'society' at large is too busy worrying about their own affairs too bother with the self-serving concerns of SOME morbidly obese people.

People choose the issues they feel need changing or improving. All the whining about a shortage of affordable, trendy clothing in ManyX sizes - why aren't those impacted learning design & the business aspects of manufacturing & opening their own businesses? According to many, most already in the fashion business are missing out on selling to a huge demographic. Same applies to any business or service where the HAES/BoPo types feel slighted... your problem; upto you to find a solution.

Off my soapbox & by Gawd, I missed you rural, compost covered types!

The fat backlash to Taylor Swift is really bothering me, even though I don't know her, am not American, and don't give a rodent's rectum about popstars. The begunted masses seem to forget that anorexia is the deadliest mental illness on the planet. This is a woman describing a disease that could have killed her - would they come at a woman with HIV or breast cancer in this fashion?

EDIT: Bekah's got a husband?

It took a second to realize this wasn't made by someone being a smartass and that Bekah posted this herself unironically. Y'know because she's like the fucking thread mascot for fat bitches who loudly insist they don't hate themselves, all the time, not realizing they're kind of telling on themselves by doing so when nobody asked. She can't even convince herself of this enough to get real bitter and cunty about it like other FAs and is just plain uncomfortable to watch. Maybe "cis men" not falling over themselves to fuck obese women are not the real enemy, Bekah should probably be more pissed off at woke social media, fat activists, and whatever retard therapist gets paid to blow smoke up her ass for doing a bang-up job at convincing her the only way her life will improve is if she humiliates herself on the internet.

Ran across this lady from Ash during infinifirst:

She brings her own chair to events because she cannot fit into regular chairs.

Also, from her found out about a campaign (archive) they are doing to make airseats larger to fit them.

Attached the sample letter the entitement in this one quote is huge:
"I am a passenger of size. The size of the seats impede movement due to being wedged in the small space. Additionally, I have experienced difficulty in exiting seats in normal circumstances, requiring other passengers to exit their seats. I’ve needed to raise the arm rests to be able to scoot across the seats and use the seat backs in front of me to leverage myself up into the aisle."

I'm at the point where I want to just say, fuck it, have a designated fat only section. They're crying discrimination anyway so why not. You can pay the surcharge to sit there by choice, or you show up with a regular ticket with an ass the size of a minivan and get publicly weighed by a TSA agent to see if you're above the weight cutoff. If you are you just get bumped until another flight has an open seat in the fat section, and avoiding the surcharge is the only compensation. The kicker is, don't actually make the seats *that much* bigger. How long before they realize why it sucks to be crammed in with other fat fucks and decide it's better to just buy 2 or 3 seats in regular coach? Not long, and if they didn't serve anything but water in the fat section it'll happen even quicker.
