Not super new. A user on DailyKos coined the term between five-ten years ago. I used to know more precisely when, but it was definitely before the 2016 US election. I want to say during the Bush administration. When I was active there around the 2020 election the term had migrated to Twitter - it was mostly used to describe Trump's actions. It really took off after January 2, 2021, because the whole debacle at the Capitol was a demonstration of stochastic terrorism. (Using inflammatory words that other people will interpret as being a call to commit violence - "will no one rid me of this troublesome priest?" is a bit more direct than this term has in mind, but for purposes of this autism will suffice)

Like all meme buzzwords the phrase has taken on a life of its own and most of the time when someone uses it you can just assume they are a retard. Very few events are actually stochastic terrorism. IMO the rhetoric leading up to Jan 6 is the only time I would apply that phrase, but I'm not trying to get all moai, just using that event as a description as its something familiar to everyone and recent.

Let's say the cheapest salary they pay is $95,000. Take home per month at that salary is roughly +/-$6,000/MO. The administrative staff and janitors will not be making close to six figures however, we're talking take home pay of ~$2,500-3,000 a month. Or maybe less, I don't know.

Actual Gender Dysphoria (and not the nu definition) is pretty horrific. It fell into the same category of generalized dysmorphia, and people who had it literally could not function in society in much the same way someone with clinical agoraphobia couldn't. It's impossible for them to form romantic attachments or even friendships, go out and get careers, or even really go out at all. It leads to bad knock effects like depression, suicidality and vagrancy. It is also markedly different in presentation to the gynephilia sexual fetish. Those people don't have dysmorphia, but they do get sexually aroused at the idea of wearing women's clothes, embarrassing themselves, embarrassing other people, etc etc. In our modern hellscape, people looking to be social manipulators are also taking advantage of the inherent power being trans brings. The cluster B's have also joined in, like Narcissist's, sociopaths, and so on.

Since there are way, WAY more cluster B's and sex pests then people with diagnosable dysmorphia, they've managed to effectively change the definition simply by weight of numbers and incessant shrieking on social media. The really sad thing though is if the pendulum swings back the other way, the Cluster B's will just take off the dress and move on to the next fad, the sex pests will all go underground again, and the people who actually had a medical reason for it will get lynched. I would also posit that the high rate of suicidality among the "trans community" is directly related to the application of "gender affirming surgery". Since many of them are fetish driven, chopping off the dong removes the sex drive, and thus the fetish. What pleasure they had gotten out of the whole "dress like a lady" goes away, and they are left with nothing but a gash. I'd probably rope myself too.
